My partner and I provide professional in-home dog sitting services in the Portland, Oregon area, providing dog and house sitting for those with busy travel schedules.

We have been avid dog lovers our entire lives and have rarely been without dogs as pets of our own. We know from our own past personal experience that making the decision to go on a vacation can weigh heavily on dog owners, who often struggle with the thought of burdening other family members to fill the gap or are guilt ridden over whether to leave their beloved canine at a kennel or other unfamiliar location.

Service areas include (but are not limited to) the following neighborhoods and districts: The Pearl, Alphabet, Nob Hill, Goose Hollow, Downtown Portland (south of Burnside and north of the South Waterfront), South Waterfront, and North Portland. My name is Courtney, I'm 23 years old, and I reside in Goose Hallow, SW Portland. I currently work part time at a local preschool, as an assistant toddler teacher. I enjoy working with children and equally love being around dogs and cats as well! I want to offer my pet sitting and dog walking services to those looking to go on vacation or those taking trips out of town on the weekends. I am available to watch in my home ( a decent sized one-bedroom apartment; bottom floor unit= no stairs!) or travel to you. I can be flexible depending on what it is you may need and I'm also open to watching/feeding your cat if needed. I am available for short notices, up to one day in advance.

I grew up in a family of six that always had 2 - 3 dogs in our home at a time, 2 cats, and between all of us kids a combination of guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, fish, turtles... You name it!

Dogs: I am familiar with dog walking, potty training, basic leash and obedience training, dog parks, and grooming. From Rat Terriers to Great Danes, I love them all!

Cats: I understand that dogs have owners and cats have staff. Although they may not always be up for coming when I call, chasing after a piece of string, or curling up in my lap, I am here for them and all their "staffing" needs.

Other furry friends and creepy crawlies: Each beloved pet is special in their own unique way and I am always up for the challenge.

**About me**
I have crew up with dogs my whole life and I love animals to death. I worked at a vet in high school for three years. I did everything from walking, feeding, administering medicine, baths, and assisting with appointments. I love animals and I am hoping this will help me save some extra money to get a dog of my own!

**About my home/services**
I am just moving into a place in NW portland. Pets are allowed but I would prefer to do pet services out of my house just for a couple weeks until I get settled. Other than that I am open to any and all services, just ask!

**About my neighborhood**
Downtown NW portland, near two parks, lots of places to walk, and a dog park! I also have a car that is very dog friendly so we can go anywhere!

**What to expect**
They will enjoy walking, running, hiking, swimming, playing, lots of cuddles and hugs, treats, and a lot of quality time.

Anything works for me, I have loved and got along with almost every animal I have come across so I cant think of anything that would be a problem!

I live in the Alphabet District here in Portland and generally have a pretty flexible schedule. My name is Ellie and I am a recent graduate of Portland State University and I live in a house downtown. I worked part-time at a doggy daycare for over a year and was raised in a large family that always had several animals of various types. I have been dog sitting in the Portland area for about 4 years. I love playing and spending time outdoors! My home is conveniently located in downtown Portland and I can bike to locations nearby.

Why I love dog sitting:
I have always had dogs in my life and as a part of my family. I began pet walking as a kid and then dog sitting in early college. At the beginning of my 4th year of college I was hired at a doggy daycare and boarding facility and I still work both there and caring for dogs in my own home.

My experience administering medication:
I have no problems administering medications. I will usually consult the owner to see what tricks they may use (if any) to help the dog consume their medications as easily as possible. I have experience with using pill pockets, peanut butter or nothing at all while administering medications.

Limitations:
I work full time Thursday-Monday so I am only able to do midday walks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and if I pet sit over a weekend, I will need to go to work. That said, in that case I will always walk the dogs right before work and again as soon as I am done with my job.

I and my old roommate used to have a dog and cat. My roommate adopted a puppy, Gussy. He was 4 months old lab mix and we had him for a year. We had a great time together- we ran, jogged, and walked together everyday.

I had had a cat for six years and his name was Bob. I have sited cats in all ages, too. Unfortunately, they are not with me anymore and I terribly miss him and Gussy. I am doing pet sitting because I miss being around animals.

I approach to pets gently and I look forward meeting your pets!

Here is my rate:
*For all of the services:
- I charge extra $5/night for extra pet.

*For check-ins:
-$12/ 30 min check in and $20 for an hour check in. If it is within walking distance, reduced fee of $10 and $16.
-Includes potty break, playing and walk as time allowed.

Even if it says unavailable on the calendar, please do contact me for the availability for check -in and walking. I will update you with photos of your pets so that you don't have to be worried while you are away.

*Hey there! Sorry for the cheesy title. I am an AmeriCorps VISTA trying to make some extra money (it's not easy living under $1,000/month!). I love hanging out with my dog, and I take her on walks twice a day, so why not include your dogs with them? We live right around the corner from Mississippi Ave and love going to the parks in the area. When I have enough furry visitors, I love to take field trips to Sauvie or 1000 acres. We have a fenced-in backyard that is the perfect size for a midday game of fetch. We've been inviting other dogs to stay with us for over a year now and have loved every visitor! I have a few repeat clients that have basically become part of the family. My partner and I work together to take care of any dogs in the house (he is in school/restaurant business, I work a 10 minute bike ride away), so your pup will never have to be home alone for long periods of time. We have recently acquired a hairless cat that is extremely intriguing to dogs (he looks like an oversized rodent or raw chicken, which are both enticing). It's okay if your dog is known to chase cats-- that's something our cat can handle. However, any dogs with a history of violence against cats won't be a good fit in our household.
