I am a 24 year old that just moved to the city of Rochester! I am extremely passionate about all animals, but I absolutely LOVE dogs. I am very active, and would enjoy getting excerise, while helping a loving dog do the same! Whether it's going for a walk/run, having fun playing at a park, playing fetch or simply hanging around together, I am interested in doing it all! I also enjoy spending time with dogs that just need a companion, or if they experience any level of anxiety. I am wonderful with dogs and would love to care for local 4-legged friends!

I am an avid animal lover. I've spent 7 years walking dogs part time - solo, multiple (up to 4), play dates at parks, runs and leisure walks. I also spent 2 years working part time for a pet sitting company locally, helping pet owners with feedings, mid-day potty breaks, diaper changes (as needed), etc. I have experience with dogs who have fear aggression, severe separation anxiety & other specific needs.

I have a cat, but she is afraid of almost everything so she tends to hide. I can take extra precautions to seclude her if needed.

Please know that when you leave your pets with me I will treat them like they are my own. I will always make sure that they are safe, loved, and get lots of exercise.

Additionally, I know that every dog has a different personality and different rules at home so I will do my best to maintain and reinforce any ongoing training regiments that you have.



Some notes about my policies, services, and rates:

All dogs must be vaccinated (please be prepared to show proof of vaccination) and house-broken.

I cannot accept any dog that is known to be aggressive or experience a high level of anxiety around other dogs.

If your dog has never stayed with me before and your requested stay duration is longer than 5 days, I require an overnight trial. This helps to ensure that my place is a good fit for your pet and that your dog will transition smoothly.

Please include preferred pick-up and drop-off times at the time of request to ensure accurate pricing.

If your dog is crate-trained, you can bring your own when you drop your dog off.

Hello! My name is Jane, and I'm currently a graduate student and dog lover living in Rochester. I've been a pet-sitter for friends and family for upwards of 4 years, and have cared for pets ranging from fluffy Maine Coon cats, to sweet, petite pugs, to vivacious, smart pit bulls. I have experience caring for dogs with general anxiety/separation anxiety, as well as pets who need daily oral medication.

What will your dog's day look like?
On any given day, your dog will be guaranteed to have snuggles and love, plenty of play and exercise (or space and relaxation if that's what they need!), and if okay with you, perhaps a trip in the car for a trot in a local park. I can attend pre-planned play dates with them as well. Most importantly, I want your pet to feel comfortable and cared for, so whatever they need, I will do my best to provide that for them.

About my home:
I live in a well-kept, cozy apartment in a larger house - great snuggle spots. My housemate and landlady--who live in separate units in the house--both love animals as well. My housemate, a vet technician, has a very well-trained, sweet pit bull mix named Remington. There's not many stairs in my apartment (5 to get in). I have a leash hook-up in the backyard so that your dog can sniff and walk around in the partially fenced-in yard with my supervision. There's a large grassy lot next to my house, which is great for fetch and long-leash play. I'm also active, so I can walk (or jog!) with your dog at their speed.

I have two objectives when I look after someone's dog: 1) to keep the dog's routine and environment as similar as it is when its owner is around, and 2) to care for it like it were my own.

I know that, for a lot of people and for a good amount of pups, the owner leaving home can cause some level of anxiety - even if it's a minimum. My goal is to make sure the owner feels like they can enjoy their time away without worrying, as well as make sure the furriend has a good time. This will typically include sending emails with pictures and progress - so the owner has some bragging rights about how cool their dog is!

I really enjoy dogs of all sizes and breeds. I do not have a preference for either, yet I do have a preference for pups that do not exhibit aggression - especially towards people.

I spend more time with your pets. I typically work in 4 1/2 to 5 hour shifts away from home at a time. That means aside from errands etc, I can be with your pets giving them the care they need. My schedule is flexible and I can work as much or as little as I need to to keep your pets as comfortable as possible while you're gone.

Know your pets are well cared for in the comfort of their own home. I offer pet sitting, walks, and home visits. All services are managed from your home to reduce any anxiety your pet may feel while you are away. I stick to the routines set by the owners including any feeding requirements and schedules and normal bed times. I have cared for multiple dogs in one home and have worked with many different breeds and personalities. I am familiar with Great Danes, Hounds, and mixes. My work schedule is flexible, allowing me to visit often and never leave your pet alone for more than 4 hours. I do have two cats and live with a roommate with a dog whom I help care for as well so I have plenty of experience with caring for and loving pets!

My name is Mackenzie and I live in Rochester, NY. I am 24 years old and have many years experience working with pets of all types. I have been the primary care provider for a dog for the past 10 years, and adopted my own dog last year when I moved into my own apartment. I have several years of experience working with both dogs and cats in a professional setting as well. I have been a veterinary assistant and kennel attendant for several years and have spent countless hours working with animals of all temperaments, personalities, breeds, and ages. I am also very experienced working with pets that have special needs (i.e. medications, separation anxiety, special diets, etc.). In my spare time, I spend time with my own pets and I also spend time with my horse. My horse is an ex-racehorse from the Finger Lakes Racetrack and he lives at a boarding facility in Rochester.

I currently live in an apartment so I am unable to provide care for your pets in my home, but I am moving into my new house very soon and I will be opening up the opportunity for boarding and day care as soon as I am settled. I am currently working from home most of the time, so I am regularly available throughout the week and on weekends to care for your pets.
