My shorkie, Stevie, and I would love to welcome your furry friend into our home! We live in a secured, dog friendly, high rise apartment in the heart of down town Detroit. Our days typically include walks by the Riverwalk, trips to the Campus Martius Starbucks for a puppiccino, and play time in the Sky club. If a bath is needed, I have no problem giving your fur baby a dip with a shampoo of your choice, and a blow dry. Stevie is more than willing to share his toys, treats, and bed with any new comer, and he is very friendly and playful. All of our couches are low to the ground and are very easily to climb up on but, we also have stairs for dogs who may need them.
My name is Charlie Marie, Ive had animals my whole life. My first dog was a pit bull, who passed away when I was 16. At 17, I got my cat Lucy Rae who is just the friendliest and must cuddly thing, and at 20 me and my husband bought Stevie, a shitzu yorkie mix. My home is extremely pet friendly! The cats have their own room that features a full perch, 2 automatic liter boxes, an electric water fountain, a tent, a tunnel, and various toys.

Hello, I'm Nathan, owner of Detroit Loves You Guest Home (DLY), the first and most reviewed Airbnb in Detroit.

I've been hosting human guests and their pets for over 6 years, and began hosting dog & cat guests 3 years ago. Here's how it works:

When I receive your request if there are no preexisting human guest reservations for your dates, I'll accept your reservation. Any future human guests requesting your dates will be informed of your pets' reservation and given the option to confirm. I'll notify you if so. If they plan on bringing any pets I'll verify compatibility with you and them before confirming, of course.

If there are any preexisting human guest reservations for your dates I'll let you know, and find out if you are OK with your pets being here when they are.
If I get your go-ahead I will then contact them and ask about any objections (allergies, phobias, etc.). If hosting your pets works for everyone, I'll happily accept your reservation.

The more advance notice the better the chances I can accept your pets' reservation.

When pets are being hosted at DLY, I am available to provide any care needed, including potty breaks & walks, while working from my office here, about 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. My Piety Hill neighborhood is excellent for dog walking, and my route takes us through a long park, where I jog with larger dogs who like to run.

My business partner and avid dog lover, Gregg B., spends some nights at DLY each month while working on home improvements, and when here he provides pet care in my stead.

Human guests, if any, provide potty breaks and possibly walks, when neither Gregg nor I are at DLY.
If there are no human guests, nor Gregg, and your pet must have a potty break between when I leave work and return the next morning, I can be available to return to DLY for this purpose.

I was born an animal lover... You can be sure from the moment I meet your pet that I will fall absolutely love. I don't use that term loosely either. I don't just love dogs and cats, but I love all animals. I have owned three bearded dragons, three snakes, three birds, three dogs, and a miniature shark. I have plenty of experience when it comes to animals that need special accommodations and extra love. I currently work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I look forward to meeting my next temporary baby!

My name is Mike and I love all animals. I am in between jobs right now so basically I watch a lot of television and read books. I need some kind of income very soon, and I have always wanted to make money doing something I loved to do; taking care of animals.
I grew up with dogs. Was always in charge of their care. Right now I own 1 cat, Floyd, and he's very shy. He usually hides somewhere should we get any unsuspected guests. He is also in his twilight years. He is declawed too. I have a studio apartment and I find that it's all the space a guy like myself needs. If your dog is stir crazy I'm happy to get him outside whenever I sense he/she feels too penned up. I have a good sense of what animals are feeling and I try to accommodate them accordingly. This will be my first time babysitting dogs and I want to make it fun for all parties. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I may have some for you too.

I am currently home most days. My days are very flexible as I am in the process of remodeling my home with several small projects going on. I love dogs. I have an outside 6 x 6 kennel for dogs who just need to be supervised and fed.

Dogs are allowed in the living & dining room only. They are free to use the couch and leather recliner. Play toys and dog floor bedding to make it comfortable as well. Pets aren't allowed in bedrooms (doors stay closed) or kitchen.

I have all hardwood floors and tile in my home to make for easy cleanup for the doggie mishaps.

I recently had to travel away for a family emergency. I realized how hard it is to get long term care for your dog when a kennel just won't do. I want to be there for someone who needs confidence in leaving their baby with me while they take care of their travel needs.

I am looking for long term clientele who travel often and need a sitter than can come to their home on short notice or they can come to mine.

My name is Ashton and I have been caring for dogs since I was a child. I currently have a 3 year old shih tzu/yorkie mix named Beethoven. He is sweet as pie and friendly as can be. My home is all hardwood flooring so if anyone makes an accident it is pretty easy to clean up. I also have a full size back yard that the dogs can run around and play. There is park that is across the street from me. I usually take my dog out there to run and play fetch. It will be the primary spot where the dogs will go for walks and have a good time.
