Hi there! I am a college student at the University of Kentucky. I am originally from Wisconsin, and I had to leave my dogs and cat behind when I moved to college so I am really missing them, and want to share my love with your animals. I love spending time with all animals and love making sure that they exercise and have fun. I also love giving them attention, so endless belly rubs and kisses.

Anyone in Lexington interested in having your dog walked when you have a long day at work or are going on vacation and don't want to take them to the stressful environment of a kennel? Well, I am now apart of this amazing organization that allows me to watch your pups in my own home! I have been using DogVacay as a guest for my dog, Riley, over a year now and have really enjoyed him getting one on one attention from dog lovers like me!

I am a student at the University of Kentucky but for the summer I will be working part-time at a horse breeding farm 3 days a week. I have owned my dog Riley for 8 years and he is my best friend. I have been a dog lover since I was about 8 years old when a 120lb rescue German Doberman showed up my house needing a friend. Needless to say, it took a while to convince my parents to keep him but that big giant goof started my huge love for dogs.

I have grown up with standard Poodles, teacup poodles, pit bulls, Australian Shepards and every type of mutt you can think of. I have been a vet tech at one of the largest equine vet clinics in the country, Rood and Riddle, so I have a lot of experience with animals big and small.

My apartment is on the smaller side, approximately 750 SQ feet, but because I am home all day I take my dog for walks frequently to Woodland park and often hang out with him on our large porch. Some would consider the size a deterrent but I believe there is enough room for your dog to spend it's lounging time when we are not outside.

I am also a runner(about 2 miles) and would enjoy bringing your healthy dog along with me to get any energy out. Also a few times a week I go to the dog park and with your permission, I would love to take your dog.

I have always had dogs in my life and, since moving to Lexington for college, I have missed having some furry friends in my life. I have both pet sat and babysat and have had an enjoyable time doing both (although I do prefer the pets). While I am mildly allergic to cats, that is not a problem for short visits, but it does inhibit me from staying overnight to care for your kitties. I have a car and live in an apartment that I could keep a small dog in for a night or two.

Growing up I've always loved my time with animals, dogs especially. It didn't take much persuading of the parents to adopt our first puppy, we were all attached immediately. Fast forward 15 years later, we now own our second doggy and he is equally enjoyable as the first. Our current golden retriever, Coach, loves nothing more than interacting with every dog/person he can come in contact with. He has a wonderful personality, excellent for welcoming furry friends.

The house is a two story home with a fully fenced-in back yard. There is plenty of green grass for your dog to run around in. I follow any type of routine-meal schedule provided. Dogs who have booked over night stays also have two walks per day. I typically wouldn't crate a pet unless requested to otherwise (Large crate pictured). I can easily keep our dogs separated if there are any concerns (Example: One upstairs, one downstairs). This method could be used if away from the house for a short period of time.

I currently am a student at the University of Kentucky, and this is an excellent opportunity to provide pet services while attempting to compensate those hefty student loans.

We would love to be your dog's home away from home!

We welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes. We have experience with dogs with behavioral issues and will accommodate those needs (i.e. not dog friendly, food aggression, etc). We also welcome intact and raw fed dogs.

We are active in the Lexington area in all things dog! We are part of a local team that offers dog boarding, training, nutrition/wellness (including raw), fitness/weight loss camp, dog sports (competitive obedience, schutzhund, barn hunt, etc)...to name a few. If you are interested in getting involved in any of the above, just let us know and we'll point you in the right direction.

We are located on ten beautiful acres in Lexington. There is tons of space for your dog to run and play.
