My name is Sharon McAllister, and I live in east Bradenton near SR 70/SR 64 and I-75. Like everyone on DogVacay, I'm a total dog lover and a real sucker for their furry little faces. I have had a dog in my life since I was a teenager and currently have 4 of my own that range from 9 pounds to 60 pounds (ages 6 to 14). And if it wasn't for my husband putting his foot down, I'd probably have one or
two more. Like most dog owners, I feel like my dogs are part of the family (because, of course, they are!), and if they could talk--I mean, if we could understand them--they'd tell you that they're treated that way. Truth be told, though, they're probably treated better than family, and whenever we bring a new one into the fold, you'll even hear my husband telling them, "You don't know it yet, but you just won the doggy lotto."
I have decided to dog sit outside my home only because my husband and I believe it would be easier on not only your dog, but on ours, as well, since we have so many. But please rest assured and know that just as I'll treat your dog as if he were my own, I'll treat your home the same way. I guarantee that your property and your privacy will be completely respected. I don't smoke, so you don't have to worry that I'll try to corrupt your baby. ;) I do work a full-time job during the week off Fruitville near I-75, but if you're close enough to my office, I'd be able to head home during my lunch hour to give your little one some attention, some time to see to his personal needs, as well as a midday snack. And when I'm not working, my time will be spent doing everything I can to make sure your dog dreads seeing you come home, but only because he's enjoyed his time with me so much! But seriously, I know it's never easy to go away and leave your pet, especially if you're looking at boarding him someplace where he'll be caged up the better part of the day. I hope you'll feel better about leaving him knowing he's happier being in his own environment surrounded by the things that he loves and that comfort him, and that he's in excellent and loving hands.
So whether you have a dog who suffers with separation anxiety and you just need someone to calm him with a little Rescue Remedy and some attention while you go out for a few hours, or whether you need someone to stay with him while you go on a much-needed vacation, I hope you'll give me the opportunity to meet you both so that I can put your mind at ease about leaving him with me. I promise that as soon as you do, you will know he couldn't be in better hands.
If you decide to book with me--and I hope you do!-- and you have more than one dog, be sure and contact me before booking so that I can send you a custom quote. I only charge $5 for each additional dog, whereas DogVacay is going to charge you $35 for each dog.
Thank you so much for reading my profile. If you have any questions or concerns at all, please don't hesitate to share them with me. I look forward to meeting you and your pooch or pooches soon!
