About Mandy

I have (2) dogs I adopted from my local humane society that absolutely love other dogs and LOVE to play!

If your pet cannot be around other dogs, I have the ability to separate mine from our guest so your dog(s) can have undivided attention~

We just moved from Brea Olinda Hills to Whittier but would still love the opportunity to serve your area!

I am offering my services so that I can continue to rescue dogs via "Save A Bow Wow Rescue" saveabowwow.com. Generally, we take in dogs that otherwise wouldnt make it out of the shelter.

Our Tater Tot is a frenchie with a brain condition common to bulldogs who is supposed to be on consistant cage rest, so it is likely he wont feel up to playing.

Our little Lola is a gem! She is all around a loving dog FULL of personality! Lolas favorite game to play is "keep away!" She also spends a majority of her day laying on our window ceil like a cat... one of those you have to see moments!

As we own a dog rescue, we have seen it all! We have a great deal of experience with difficult dogs.. sick dogs... dogs that dont get along with other pets... etc. We are happy to meet with you in regards to your pets specific need(s).

We are looking forward to meeting you & yours!

With Mandy and Curtis's care, it's home away from home for our pets and peace of mind for us. Thank you very much! We really appreciate you.
Our dog is very shy and unwelcoming with strangers. Mandy showed extreme patience with Deva and understood our dog's comfort level. She didn't try to force her to do anything she wanted to do. I will recommend Mandy to anyone. A true dog lover!
Our first time with Mandy was such a success, we didn't hesitate to book with her again. Mandy cares for our dogs just like we do, far beyond what a pet hotel would do. My little poodle, Roxie, is so attached to me, she cries when I leave, so Mandy comforted her by sitting with Roxie in her lap or by carrying her around. With Mandy and Curtis, we are at ease knowing our dogs are safe, loved, and well cared for. I'm sure there will be a third dogvacay in the future with Mandy, Curtis and their extended dog family.

Mandy was really great with my beloved Mali. My dog instantly warmed up to Mandy and Mandy kept me updated several times over the couple days that she had my dog. It was a last minute emergency so I was a little nervous about not doing a meet and greet first, but Mandy eased my worries quickly. Thanks again Mandy!

What would have been Lilo and Stitch's first time stay with Mandy became the second. Thanks to Mandy's acceptance of an earlier short notice request, this visit became a "getting to know you more" stay. Our babies sure had a lot fun! Great care and love all around.

We really appreciated Mandy for accepting our short notice request. This request was even earlier than what was originally planned. It was such a great relief that Lilo and Stitch had Mandy to look after Lilo and Stitch while we focused on an important family matter.

We can't thank you enough Mandy. Our apologies for the delayed note of appreciation.

Mandy and Curtis were great! If you need love and attenttion for your buddies, Mandy is the one you need to call! Mandy took great note of Lilo's and Stitch's specific needs.Mandy also took the time to get to know each one. Nothing is too much or too troublesome to request for. Each dog received special attention. Mandy also took adorable pictures of their stay! From the time we dropped them off to when we picked them up, we could tell Lilo and Stitch had a lot of fun! It is like home away from home. We enjoyed our vacation more knowing that Lilo and Stitch were in good hands.

Thank you Mandy and Curtis for taking good care of Lilo and Stitch. We really appreciate it and look forward for future dates.

My lovely dog's name is Rusty. I rescued him. He was a stray dog that was just so scared about everything. He has brought so much joy into my home. We truly love him. I brought him into my home on June 20, 2012. I don’t have any other dogs. I took my son out of the state as a vacation for his birthday for 6 nights. When I researched DogVacay and came across Mandy’s profile I knew that her home was where I wanted Rusty to be at. During his stay with Mandy she was more than wonderful to him. She took great care of him. I was afraid that he wouldn’t get along with the other dogs & those that lived in the home, & I was also afraid he was going to have abandonment issues and probably act out. Buy Mandy made my sweet Rusty feel very comfortable. She updated me daily, with text & pictures, which helped me feel comfortable & worry free to enjoy my vacation with my family. When I pick Rusty up he was just a changed dog. He made friends with the other dogs in the home & he was happy. I was more than pleased with his stay with Mandy. Thank you again Mandy for a great job well done & the love and care you gave to my Rusty.

We want to say that Mandy was excellent in taking care of our dog, Haru. She stayed with her for four days and three nights and had a great time with Mandy dog, Lola. Mandy was very good in texting us pictures each day and kept us informed of our dog's behavior. We were very please with the fashion that Mandy took care of our dog and we would consider leaving Haru with her in the future.

We thought vacations were for other people, not for us, because of our special needs dogs, and not knowing who to trust if we boarded them somewhere. That is, until we met Mandy.

Several years ago, we boarded our dogs at a kennel where they were caged. One of the dogs was my elderly poodle. When we went to pick them up, we were informed my poodle had died. Who knows if it was because of the stress, or little human contact, or his age. Because of this devastating incident, we have since missed a lot of opportunities to go on vacations or away for long weekends.

We recently were asked to go out of town for 4 days and were reluctant to accept, but we found Mandy through DogVacay and decided to schedule a meet and greet with her. She lives within a short driving distance from us and her price is more than fair. We were really concerned about leaving our 16-year-old Bogey, who is also blind and has Alzheimer's. Mandy had previous experience with caring for a blind dog, and she had no hesitation in accepting our Bogey into her home. She showed him compassion, patience, and helped him get around an unfamiliar environment. Our other dog is such a people-dog, she needs constant human contact and companionship. Mandy and her family were with our dogs 24/7, Mandy even took time off from work to be with our dogs! She took them for walks, car rides, visits with relatives, and gave our dogs so much love and personal attention, just like home. Mandy sent us daily updates and photos, and it was so reassuring to know that our dogs were in competent, loving hands.

We can't wait for our next vacay or long weekend away, because of Mandy. Thank you Mandy for making our trip possible and free from worry about our dogs.
