I have owned and loved animals my entire life. I currently have two furry roommates who love our new house as much as I do. We finally have a backyard that is huge to us but medium by most standards. It is full of cool grass and lots of shade, as well as a few sunny spots for lounging. We are two blocks from Sioux Park and a short drive away from our favorite dog park. Inside we have a pet friendly couch that is large enough for a whole kennel club to lounge on! Daily activities include social time with my own dogs (a lab mix and rat terrier), interactive play with ropes, bones, and frisbees, a walk or run, and afternoon naps. If there is still energy to burn, my favorite activity by far is definitely going for hikes in the hills and letting the dogs swim and chase ducks! There is space inside to play, extra dog beds, and a large tub for baths. All pet-necessary amenities are on one level (so older dogs do not need to worry about navigating many stairs). There is a doggy door to the backyard so guests can help themselves to whichever environment they feel most at home in.
