Researchers found that the same hormone, oxytocin, spikes in both human and canine brains when a dog is gazing at its owner
Growing up I have always had a passion for animals, being around dogs for 22 years (and counting) I have fallen accustomed to loving dogs and wanting to help the species in as many ways as I can. I have ample experience caring for pets, from house sitting and volunteering at the SPCA to caring for my own dogs, I feel like I have surely seen it all....Well maybe not all, but it's on my list :). I can promise safety, proper care, and love for all pets that are in my home. I come from a family of animal lovers, and our neighborhood is paws friendly! I am a 5 minute walk away from a designated dog park, and live down the street from other dog friendly parks, hills, and fields. I have a car for transportation and am 10-20 minutes away from walking and hiking trails. I am currently a student at UBCO; however, I am only away for about 1.5 hours at a time and always home on the weekends. While I'm absent there is always someone else at the house to maintain supervision. My whole family is in on this and would love to provide care for your pet (mom, dad, 16 year old sister). I can assure your pets plenty of walks (during my study breaks, and trust me I need lots of those) and lots of play space for I have a large yard. Of course depending on the dogs activity level and ability I will be flexible to take part in any type of walk or exercise necessary. My yard is completely fenced off and safe. I will still maintain full supervision of the animals while they are outdoors due to a bit of construction going on in my backyard (a bit of dirt, nothing dangerous). I currently have a 1.5 year old Yorkshire Terrier, and a 13 year old Toy poodle. They are both gentle and friendly dogs who are welcoming to new comers inside our home. I have part-taken in puppy preschool training classes with both of the dogs, so they are adequately socialized and well trained. I am extremely flexible with mealtimes for your dog as well as sleeping arrangements, I will always ensure a comfy bed no matter where you'd prefer them to sleep. I will do my absolute best to make your dog feel at home and part of the family. Animals give us their absolute all and it's my time to return the favor. I would be honored for you to put your faith and trust in me to take care of your precious little one. Thanks for considering me!
I am located in Rutland, very close to the YMCA; however, I do offer pick up and drop off services!
