My name is Katie and I am a graduate of Columbia school of social work. I miss my dog immensely and would love to take care of pets in my free time or on my lunch break! I am energetic, caring, and honest. I would take your dog out for many walks while he or she stayed with me. I grew up with many different animals, fostered dogs with a local organization and volunteered as a pet therapy team with my dog during my undergrad years! Why I love dog sitting My sisters and I were banned from the pet store when we were younger by my dad! We always came home with a new family pet. Our first dog was Copper and he automatically fit in with the family. In his old age we thought he needed a younger friend. I bought my own dog Pilot, but he quickly became loved by everyone. During my undergrad years, Pilot and I volunteered as a pet therapy team and visited hospitals, rehab centers, and schools. Since Pilot has passed, I’ve missed having a pup around. About my yard I do not have a backyard, but I am near Astoria park and the dog park. My experience administering medication is with my dog Copper. We got very comfortable with helping Copper with all of his various medications and lotions.
