My name is Peggy, and I live with my partner/boyfriend Mike. We are in our late 20s/early 30s, and Mike's 4th grade son lives with us, too. We have all grown up with a variety of dogs, cats, and fish since we were toddlers (from an 8 lb rat terrier, to a 20 lb diabetic mutt requiring twice-daily insulin injections, up to a 120 lb German shepherd). We have been unable to have pets in recent years due to apartment restrictions until we moved into our current condo; we can't yet afford a pet of our own but are so excited to start helping others by caring for their furry friends!
We consider pets FAMILY, and will spend plenty of one-on-one time with yours by going on walks, playing inside and outside, cuddling on the couch, and going for car rides (if your pet enjoys it). Your pet will never be left unsupervised for more than 2-4 hours, and will get at least 4-6 potty breaks and 2-4 walks each day. He or she will have free roam of our house, except for our 4th grader's bedroom and the den where there are small pieces that could be swallowed or choked on (doors to these rooms will be closed). He or she will never be left unsupervised with our child. If you prefer for your pet to be crated or closed off in one room, we can accommodate that as well. There are two small/shallow steps to get into our condo, but otherwise no necessary stairs. Your pet is welcome to sleep wherever he or she is most comfortable. We have a fenced in back patio and access to the large grassy common areas of our neighborhood.
To our dismay (because we love them) our landlord is currently not permitting us to have Pitbulls or Pitbull mixes, Dobermans, or Rottweilers.
