About megan

I have been an animal lover my entire life and have been working with them for over 20 years, initially going to college to be a vet. I did my internship at the Baltimore Zoo, I am a former vet tech and I have a heavy background in training. The number one thing I offer my clients is peace of mind. I am happy to provide constant updates, pictures, and progress reports, as well as work on any training issues that you're striving to conquer.

I live in a gated community and I live less that 1/4 mile from a one vet, less than 3 miles from the Pet E.R. and less than 3 miles from several other vets in case an emergency arrives.

My home is large three story house with approximately 2500 square feet. I offer both integration and segregation for your pet. It is next to a large open yard/space and right across from Goucher College and the trails over there. I love to take the dogs over for walks and hikes.

I am very open minded and I believe the best thing I offer my clients is peace of mind and understanding. I am a dog mom myself and they are my family. I take direction very well and understand that my clients and their pets have idiosyncrasies and quirks and I am happy to oblige without judgement. I like to know up front exactly what they are and the dogs preferences. Does it prefer to be under the covers, on the floor, in a crate, walked on the right, or left. If it is important to the client and their dog, I am happy to go out of my way to ensure they feel their dog is getting the best care possible. I also would like to know emergency contact information and if the animal is up to date on shots.

The most consistent feedback I get from my clients is that I love and care for your pet as if it was my own. Family members do not just have two legs ;-)

Thank you, Megan, for taking such great care of Oreo. I felt like you really listened and cared about her specific needs. I liked how you introduced Oreo to your pack - it really made for a smooth transition and turned into a successful stay. Thanks, again!

Megan was great with Naomi. From the meet-n-greet to the actual visit she was knowledgeable and put my mind at ease by answering my questions. Naomi enjoyed her stay with Megan and her pack. Her experience as a dog trainer and access to walking/hiking trails made for a smooth stay. We have already booked our next trip!!

My 4lb toy poodle has stayed with Megan twice now, and both times he loved his vacay. I was thrilled with the care he received at Megan's house. My little dude can be a bit of a grump and tends to be standoffish around other dogs. Even though Megan has three dogs of her own, my pup had a fantastic time and seemed to get along with the pack just fine. Megan is super knowledgeable about dog behavior and even worked on some training with my dog during his stay. I could tell my dog had been spent lots of time running around outside, and when we got home he was exhausted--a very good sign. I highly recommend Megan and my dog will be staying with her again.

My MinPin Tex stayed over night with Megan and her dogs and he had a great time! Megan immediately got Tex acclimated to her home and I would feel very confident leaving him with her again in the future. Megan is definitely a dog person and it shows, MinPins can be a handful at first yet she took the necessary steps to get him settled right in!

Megan was knowledgeable about how to integrate our dog with her other dogs as well as extremely accommodating in dealing with our dog's idiosyncrasies and traits. She maintained great communication throughout our vacation and provided our dog with a safe and loving home. What more could you ask for?
