About Jennifer

24 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am a professional dog trainer with 19 years experience. My family are all dog lovers who also happen to be "dog-wise". Our family has 6 friendly and well-behaved dogs who enjoy it when fur-friends come to visit. If our fur-guest isn't too sure of other dogs, we know how to play the "rotating rovers" game, keeping dogs separated which helps our guest feel comfortable and happy during their visit. We are located on 2 acres with 1 acre completely fenced. Even though the dogs have tons of fun outside chasing squirrels, they still spend a large portion of the day and all night inside the home.

I couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter. She has experience with training dogs and has plenty of land for my baby girl to run around on. Not to mention a gang of dogs to play with so that she never got bored. My ruby has always been well behaved, but I believe that Jennifer and her family helped her to be a little calmer and not so hyper. I would recommend their family to EVERYONE. Don't waste your time with other dog sitter Jennifer is THE best

We absolutely love Jennifer and her pack! Our dogs, Mack and Raven loved staying with them so much that Mack completely ignored me when I came to pick them up lol. Jennifer has the best balanced dogs we have met and they were perfect for Mack who is dog reactive. I was amazed to see how positively her family find her dogs influenced Mack. The entire family is so passionate about dogs and animals in general and that was a huge plus for me. They are great people, easy to talk to and I love them! We will leave our dogs with them again for sure. ????

Very accommodating and attentive to our pups! Highly recommend Jennifer!
Jennifer was AWESOME!!! She came through in a pinch for me and my pups and was a life saver. She has great understanding of dogs and their behavior (even those with quirks). She was attentive and accommodating to my pups needs. I would recommend Jennifer to anyone for their pet sitting needs.

We boarded my large French Mastiff with Kelly for a weekend. He had fun playing with the other dogs and she was very flexible with my drop off and pick up. We will definitely be back :)
Maggie Mo loves going to Jennifers. This is her second time, and since she is an "only dog" she loves spending time with the 5 dogs of the house. We had some scheduling issues on my end, and Jennifer was more than flexible for us. Would definately have Maggie stay with her again.

I am really saddened by Jennifer's one bad review because I have had nothing but excellent experiences with my dogs. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and I have nothing but good things to say. I recently left my two dogs with her for their third time and I can honestly say I have never felt more comfortable going on a trip knowing I have nothing to worry about when they are in her hands. I almost don't want to say too many good things so she isn't booked up when I need her! As long as she is offering this service, I will continue to use her and recommend her everyone!

I had a couple of "special circumstances" when looking for a place to take my dogs as one of them was recently neutered, and the 2nd is a rescue who is extremely shy. The male I listed on the website as "not sure" when it comes to other dogs as he has shown some aggression towards our 3rd dog in the form of cornering and growling at her in a form of dominance. He has never bit or hurt her in any way.
I began looking for someone who could handle these circumstances, and for the best interest of the dogs disclosed all this information.
We covered a lot about the dogs. In her profile Jennifer also describes herself as a dog trainer with "16 years of experience" with an "escape- proof" yard, who "knows how to play the rotating rover game for dogs that aren't too sure about other dogs". After all of these emails, and based on her profile and experience I felt confident that she could handle my pups.
When we dropped the dogs off, Rodeo was immediately growling at Jennifer's young Akita. We took all the dogs out back and they began playing. Kali was shy as usual, but by the time we left had let Jennifer touch her once or twice. I described Rodeo's behavior with our third dog yet again, and Jennifer said that she was observing the growling, and it seemed to be about dominance and she wasn't worried. Friday afternoon I got a text that the dogs were all enjoying the back yard and getting along. We a regulars at local dog parks so I figured the dogs were behaving as they do when we are there, and was happy to hear they were doing so well. This is the last I heard from Jennifer until we picked up the dogs Sunday night.
When we arrived Sunday night we were promptly greeted by Rodeo running out the door. When we entered the house, Jennifer's daughter advised me that Kali "never came out from under the kitchen table". When Kali saw me she was crouched down and frightened, and took a minute to recognize me. I was surprised because this was very different from the dog we dropped off, and did not match the text I had received that all was well.
Jennifer proceeded to tell us that Friday evening had started with Rodeo escaping her "escape proof yard." Kali promptly followed. But, even though Kali is a runner (which I told Jennifer about before we left), and a shy dog, Jennifer said she was able to get both of them back with minimal problems.
Next, Jennifer told us that Rodeo "attacked her Akita puppy" on Friday evening. She proceeded to describe the cornering behavior that I'd expressed to her that we have seen in the past. She emphasized that he had not bitten or hurt the puppy at all. She then said she was having such a hard time controlling the situation that she began "beating him on the head with a remote." It was after this incident that Kali stopped being receptive to Jennifer and her family, and would not allow them to touch her for the remainder of her time in the home.
From there, everything sounded like it was rough. Rodeo apparently spent a lot of time in a crate because he was so aggressive. Kali wouldn't come out from under the table and refused to poop or eat for the rest of the weekend.
So, obviously the visit didn't go well, and I have some major concerns. Kali has been there when Rodeo has displayed this very behavior many times, and has never reacted the way she did for the remainder of the weekend. She has come home happily, but has begun to display hiding behaviors that my husband and I have worked for over a year to change. I feel like I did my part in giving Jennifer all of the information about my dogs. She stated so many times that she is a dog trainer, but clearly could not handle things. I got no communication from her, and my dogs were having a really difficult time. There is a chance that nothing beyond what Jennifer told us happened, but now all I can do is wonder how bad things really got because I can't trust what she said anymore. We have never hit our animals, and it makes me very angry that she thought it was OK to do so. She is clearly misrepresenting her expertise, and it put my pets in a dangerous situation.

Maggie had such a great time with Jennifer and her family. She was very well taken care of, and I will definitely use her again.
Jennifer was great with our animals. She is very knowledgeable regarding dogs and even gave us a few tips for dealing with separation Anxiety with one of our dogs. I will definitely use her again.
Love how she takes care of my babies like they're her own! This is our 3rd time using Jennifer & she's great every time!
Jennifer and her family were amazing with our two pups, who can be a bit hard to handle at times. We are endlessly grateful for her patience and diligence in caring for our dogs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality dog care.
Charlie really enjoyed his visit and playing with all his new friends. Jennifer communicated very well and sent photos showing Charlie 'at home' Charlie will be visiting again in the future.
Jennifer and her family were so sweet to my babies! Her husband let Puff cuddle up with him and her daughter Rachel really became fond of them. When we left she even carried out their bag and put each of them in the car. I will definitely be using Jennifer again! Thank you so much Jennifer for taking care if them like they're your own!

Jennifer did a great Job. Cassy is not a easy dog, but when I picked her up, she looked really good. Many thanks to Jennifer.
