I have been fervent about animals since I was a child and this love for animals has grown over the years. I have been pet parent to many dogs as well as cats. Currently, my fur baby is 9 years old rescued from a puppy mill when he was 2 months old. :)
Your dog is given the same amount of love and care as I do for my own. In home dog boarding provides a normal, natural environment with lots of love.
We have a fenced, spacious backyard but your dog is not left unattended, and is always accompanied by me to play, exercise and attend to needs. Please remember to bring a leash and collar for walks!
My goal is to make your furbaby feel as relaxed here as in your own home. We have a doggie den they can freely come and go when they need to play or have quiet time. Dogs love the playpen set up in the dog den just for them with comfy pillows, blankets and comforters. Others simply prefer the couch ~ but your furkid has free run of the house and will be quite comfortable!
With daily photos, via text or email, I will keep you updated on your pet's visit, so you can enjoy your vacation and know they are having a wonderful time, too!
I ask you to bring their own food to avoid digestive issues. You're welcome to bring any toys and other comfort items they may need, such as blankets and beds. We do have plenty of fresh, clean blankets but if your furkid has separation anxiety, their own belongings do help make their stay more relaxed. Little ones who sleep in your bed will sleep in mine.
I provide a fun and friendly place for your dog to be happy in when you're away, with the personal care and attention that a commercial dog kennel just isn't able to provide.
If you need your dog crated to keep within a training routine, just bring it with you!
Please let me know if your pet has any quirks or odd behaviors I should be made aware of, sensitive areas of the body which shouldn't be touched, special diets that need to be followed or anything at all that you feel is important to his or her well being. If your pet has been diagnosed with any medical issue I can administer meds, please let me know all the details for the protection of your, and my own, dog. Up to date rabies records needs to accompany your furkid during his or her visit.
I typically watch for one pet parent at a time but occasionally reservations may overlap due to travel delays, etc. If this occurs, we do have separate areas we are able to utilize so that small and large dogs have no contact with each other, according to their temperament.
My dog Eddie is very friendly and loves the company of other dogs!
We're unable to accommodate cats for boarding, but I'm available to come to your home for cat and kitten care. At this time, we're unable to accept Bully breeds (pit bulls, bull mastiffs, bull dogs) for boarding, but am happy to come to you for petsits.
We primarily board small to medium dogs up to 55 lbs.
I'm a member of the National Association for Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS).
