I have been fervent about animals since I was a child and this love for animals has grown over the years. I have been pet parent to many dogs as well as cats. Currently, my fur baby is 9 years old rescued from a puppy mill when he was 2 months old. :)
Your dog is given the same amount of love and care as I do for my own. In home dog boarding provides a normal, natural environment with lots of love.
We have a fenced, spacious backyard but your dog is not left unattended and is always accompanied by me to play, exercise and attend to needs.
They have free run of the house and make themselves quite comfortable! With daily photos, via text or email, I will keep you updated on your pet's visit, so you can enjoy your vacation and know they are having a wonderful time, too!
Dogs are such social creatures and usually like to sleep in bed with you, so if your fur baby jumps in my bed, we allow it. Same goes for the couch, chairs and anywhere else they find comfortable although I ask you to bring their own food, toys, water bowls and any other comfort items they have. This is because most dogs feel separation anxiety the first night and these things help them stay rest assured they're safe.
I provide a fun and friendly environment for your dog with the personal care and attention that a commercial dog kennel isn't able to provide.
If you need your dog crated to keep within a training routine, just bring it with you!
Please let me know if your pet has any quirks or odd behaviors I should be made aware of, sensitive areas of the body which shouldn't be touched, special diets that need to be followed or anything at all that you feel is important to his or her well being. If your pet has been diagnosed with any medical issue I can administer meds, please let me know all the details for the protection of your, and my own, dog. Up to date rabies records needs to accompany your furkid during his or her visit.
My dog loves the company of other dogs and the first few years of his life were spent around a Doberman, he's a very friendly little guy!
I typically watch for one pet parent at a time - Occasionally reservations may over-lap by an hour or so.
Here's where we'll take our walks when boarding and weather permits -
I will walk your dog around my very safe neighborhood. I do not take your dog to dog parks where they could be put in jeopardy. I take this responsibility very seriously, and protect your dog so you can relax when you're away.
I'm a member of the National Association for Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS). NAPPS members have unlimited access to educational resources and training to help increase knowledge on providing excellent pet care. I'm also Red Cross CPR Certified for dogs and cats, and insured and bonded with Pet Sitters Assocs for pet sitting in your home.
I'm happy to come to you to care for your cat or caged pet or birds, we only offer boarding for dogs. Drop In visits are typically an hour, or more, if needed, and are charged as 1/2 hour rate. I have found 30 minutes isn't long enough, my rates aren't by time, but p/visit.
Short stays to long stays to everything in between, we're as close to home as it gets.
I give you the peace of mind you need for the care of your pet while you're away. Let your pet stay today in a PAWSitively pawsome loving home!
