I am a dog lover who has been with a pup since childhood. When moving to Houston from Chicago, my family, vet, and I decided it would be best to leave Finn- my 8 year old sweet Boxer- in a familiar place with familiar faces and routines. I've missed her ever since and I am hoping to fulfill the part of my heart that is missing dogs.
I have a first floor apartment with a porch. The porch has five steps. The apartment has big, comfortable rooms. I do let the dogs wander about the apartment freely. I live near a dog park in Montrose, and I live in a great area for walking dogs- lots of shade, good sidewalks! There is also a large, grassy area near my house where I like to go and throw balls for the dogs I am watching. Usually, no one else is there, so it is pretty private.
On weekends, I have open availability and your dog will not be left alone for more than one hour. On weekdays, I leave for work around 8:00 and return around 5:00. I typically walked my dog once in the morning and once when getting home from work, with walks being from 30 minutes to an hour long. My boyfriend, Ryan, also walks the dogs at lunch. The "before bed" walk- at least for me- depends on how the dog feels. Some dogs want the walk, others just want a quick bathroom break. I can do whatever the owner prefers.
I truly enjoy playing with dogs and having them in my house. Since I like to run, I can run with your dog (for long or short distances) as well.
I hope to be hearing from you soon! Thanks for reading!
