I moved to Colorado in August (2015) from Texas, where I was an adoption counselor and Adoption/Volunteer Coordinator at a no-kill animal shelter for three years. When I first moved out to Colorado, I worked at a service dog organization for a year, then a dog friendly architecture firm in RiNo (near downtown Denver) for 4 years, and I recently started a job working fully remote at a tech company. The ability to be fully remote while living so close to Cheeseman Park has been amazing especially when pet sitting! I have worked with dogs at groomers, animal shelters, doggie daycares, and dog boarding facilities. I have also pet sat and fostered dogs of all ages since 2012 and I currently foster on and off when I am not pet sitting or traveling. When I moved out to Colorado, I "Foster-failed" with my first Colorado foster dog named Shenzie and she is now part of my furry family. I also have a cat who thinks she's a dog. No dog size is too much or too small for me! I love meeting any new furry friends that come my way. My job is fully remote so I am almost always home with the dogs during the weekdays and I am more than able to keep dogs overnight. On weekends, my friends and I typically take our dogs hiking with us or go to dog-friendly places. About my yard I live in a large house with a huge fenced in backyard only two blocks away from Cheeseman, so there are plenty of great walks that I can take the pups on. My experience administering medication: From all of my experience both with pets of my own as well as working with animals, I know how to vaccinate animals, as well as take out sutures and take blood if needed. I also know how to check to see if an animal is hydrated or not and can administer medication orally or any way needed.
