About Wendy

15 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
THANK YOU to my loyal clients and my new guests!

EXCLUSIVE sitting service, which means your family member will be the ONLY GUEST, with the exception when they are 2 or more siblings already living together.
I offer a high standard and proper care for your pet. They will enjoy every relaxing activity, having them supervised and following every instruction you leave me while you are away.

I am available for sitting, walking, boarding and grooming. I have a flexible schedule and I am available during the day, afternoon, night and weekends.
I can adjust the schedule to what your pet is used to doing or adding new activities you would like him/her to try.

I also give baths , ear cleansing and nail trim (grooming package) upon request, usually the owners ask for this package the day they will pick their pets up so they go home all clean and refreshed.

When sitting at my home, your pet and I will go for walks 4 times a day: as soon as they wake up in the morning, at noon after lunch, in the afternoon after a play date and at night before they go to bed (after dinner). I love going to the dog park, as well as trying new places to entertain your loved one. So, if there is a specific place your pet likes to go I can accommodate.

I also offer sitting at your home, the plan consists in doing 3 visits a day to check on your pets, feeding them, walk them, clean after them, make sure they have fresh water available at all times and follow the routine that they are already used to. I ALSO DO OVERNIGHTS WITH A PRICE ADJUSTMENT. *See rates for traveling dog sitter.

If you have a cat instead of a dog, I haven't forgot about you! I have some clients who asked me to take care of their lovely kittens. The cat visit consists in 1 visit a day (it may varies with the owner's demands or the cat's special needs), where I visit the owner's house, feed them, clean their litter box, pet them, play with them and make sure they have water available at all times. I can also bring them to my home and spoil them. *See rates for cat visits.

Looking forward to care for your special one! :)

About me.:
I am a student who spends up almost all her time at home. I have been taking good care of pets with dogvacay.com since May 2013 and it has been a blessing to me, getting to know all these amazing pets with different personalities, expressions and behaviors. So far I've had over 400 confirmed bookings!

I am available during the day, afternoon, night and weekends. And you can reach me by phone 24/7, also I have surveillance cameras in my apartment 24/7 !

During your pet's stay with me you will receive pictures of them acting silly, having fun and relaxing so if you are shy to call or too busy on your trip, you can know that your pet is enjoying his/her time and that they are safe and sound.

I have purchased the Dogvacay Premium Insurance that offers you a comprehensive insurance policy that provides the host (me) with $4,000,000 of liability protection and covers the pets under my care up to $25,000 in emergency care at no upfront cost; most important of all, it offers a piece of mind for the three parts (your pet, you and me).

I look forward to caring for your special one!

FAQ (Please read):

What would I like to know about a dog before sitting him or her? Do you have any breed preferences?
Just need specific instructions and I will adapt to everything the pet is already used to.
NO BREED PREFERENCES and this is a big issue for me since I have owned German Shepherds, Rottweilers and Pit Bulls in the past, I don't think you should be judged based on how you were born since ANY dog can be aggressive or have some attitude problem.

Do I have reliable transportation in the event of an emergency?
Yes, I do own a brand new 2016 SUV.

Am I comfortable administering medication?
Absolutely.

Do I have a backyard?
I do have a small backyard that is fenced in with wood, also a large front yard it has plenty of room for them to play, sun bathe or just relax in the shade under my supervision.

Where will your dog sleep?
I accommodate to the owner's instructions. In the past I had pets who slept in our bed, other slept on the couch, in the living area I provide a big pet bed that sometimes they share and sleep there. I have also had shy puppies used to sleep under the furniture and a senior mama who only slept in the closet with the door closed, so I had to empty all my closet just for her once, it was quite a difference experience but she behaved excellent, she just got afraid by night time.

Where will I take your dog on walks?
I am proud to say that the Condominium that I live in is considerate the "Most Pet Friendly Condominium inside of the Loop" by many companies on internet.

We have green pet friendly areas everywhere. The one that I use the most is the one in front of the main gate, is big, has a trail that takes you all around the condominium from the outside. I also have Hermann Park across the street, when the weather is not that hot or raining, I take them for a run along the Park (obviously adapting myself to the pet's activity level and physical routine). I also encourage to take them to a dog park that I adore, they already know me there, it is so fun because the dogs can run free, interact with other pets, socialize and build their personalities.

Fantastic! Thank you so much!
Wendy was awesome. I got daily pics and videos of Rudy, and he seemed incredibly happy when I picked him up. Genuinely appreciated!
Wendy was awesome! She was super understanding about my weird schedule and updated me with pictures so I didn't miss my puppy too much. I know my dog had a great time with her and we'd definitely go to her again.
Wendy made my dog, Meelo, feel like he was on his own little vacation while I was on mine. She sent me several updates and photos that made me feel so much better about leaving Meelo with someone. She took such amazing care of my baby, administering his meds twice daily, going on long walks/runs with him, supervising him while he socialized with her pets, and giving him plenty of love and attention. For now on, Wendy will be my first choice to care for Meelo when I leave town.

We have made a last minute reservation with Wendy, she is a nice and sweet lady. She takes care of our Kuma so well and sent us lovely pictures everyday. We will come back to her if we need to travel out of town next time.
Wonderful as always -- we recommend Wendy to everyone! :)
As always, Darby loved her stay with Wendy. The new backyard is massive and Darby had lots of fun chasing squirrels, running, playing with Ovie, and in general being her energetic self. A big thanks to Wendy who is always so flexible and wonderful with my fur-child!

We have used Wendy twice and both times she has been absolutely incredible with our dog, Walter. He is an older dog (somewhere between 16-18 years old) with a variety of health issues. Wendy makes sure that all of his meds are taken regularly and provides us with a ton of updates and pictures, making us feel a lot better knowing he's in good hands. Walter always comes back happy and worn out -- which is just how we like him :)

Always a blast to stay with Wendy and Ovie! :)
This is the second time Wendy has helped us out. And we couldn't be happier. We were at peace knowing our babies were in good hands. Wendy sent us updates and pictures through her visits at our house. With our experience with Wendy the first time, we felt so much more comfortable even thinking of a quick vacation this time! She is awesome and have recommended her to all my dog lover friends. Thanks Wendy!!!!

Wendy made it easy and so much less stressful to go away. Thanks!
As always, Wendy took incredible care of my Darby. We love you Wendy!
I just picked Darby up from her 2nd stay with Wendy and Ovie and wow - I am just so impressed! This time Wendy had an Easter-themed photoshoot with Darby and sent me some pictures of her hopping around in the backyard in bunny ears. Who wouldn't love that?? Wendy cares for my dog like she is her own, and gives me constant updates on how Darby is doing and what she did today. Darby is a very high energy pup that needs lots exercise, but Wendy takes it all in stride and I always pick up a tired but very happy pup. Thank you for everything Wendy - we will see you soon!

Wendy is AMAZING! She and Ovie were both incredibly welcoming and helped me out with a last minute reservation right after I relocated to Houston. She sent me regular updates of my little girl running around, playing, and having a blast. I would absolutely recommend Wendy and we will be using her again!

Very happy with Rayven's stay with Wendy.

She sent pictures of a happy dog, which let me enjoy my daughter Jordan's wedding!

First time to leave her with a person she did not know, but I knew Wendy would take good care of our 13 year old precious lab, and she did! She answered the phone every time I called, which was always when I was dropping Rayven off or picking her up (most times I was a little short of time and needed her to answer) and she was available for my needs, too.

Excellent pet sitter (and no cages)! She has a dog and the two dogs completely ignored each other - how funny is that! Obviously, it is a relaxed atmosphere and the pets feel at ease.

Wendy is a wonderful host. She's been flexible when our schedules have changed last minute and makes sure to send us multiple updates each day. Most importantly, Axel is happier when we have to go out of town and healthier when we get home then when we were taking him to a big boarding facility.

Wendy is wonderful! My pups get lots of exercise and playtime when they stay with her. Wendy is also really good about sending updates and pictures.
Wendy was great! I was new to dog vacay and had never left my dog with anyone other than family before. She answered all of my questions and sent me pictures of Tucker while my husband and I were away. Tucker got along well with Wendy and her dog. I definitely recommend using Wendy!
