I have grown up with animals my entire life. From our family dogs and cats, to volunteering at a local petting farm just so I could hang out with the animals. I take any (and all) opportunities to snuggle and go on fun adventures with dogs…or cats if they’re into that sort of thing haha. Some people have told me I’m an animal whisperer at times. I have yet to prove them wrong. Fun Fact - When I was younger, my dad had a dog sled team of seven Siberian Huskies and I used to ride in the sled with him. Doesn’t get more Canadian than that! I was a professional dog walker for over two years and have experience working with many different dog breeds, as well as those that may have aggression, reactivity and other behavioural issues. I have experience administering meds (needles included) to cats and dogs and have no issues looking after pets that might require a bit of extra care. You can be 100% confident that your pet will be loved, safe and cared for while they are with me. There will also be no shortage of photos, videos and updates as I love to send them! NOTE: I also have two lovely cats that are great with dogs, but I do require that your dog is okay being around cats before accepting a booking.

Coal is obsessed with Tahnee and we are too! He's a special needs fella that needs meds twice / day and Tahnee is always so reliable, ensuring his meds are timed appropriately. She sends tons of videos and updates which is reassuring while traveling. She genuinely cares about our fella - giving him lots of cuddles and playtime and makes sure we're updated while away. Cannot recommend Tahnee enough!
Tahnee was fantastic! She provided detailed updates and reassurance with each visit. Our cat needs meds twice daily and Tahnee was very consistent and punctual. He also craves attention and snuggles but is shy at first - within a few visits the updates from Tahnee were of him snuggled on her, sleeping and getting belly rubs - clearly he trusted her :) Will definitely book with Tahnee again and highly recommend you do the same!
Tahnee was absolutely amazing with my dog, Franklin! He had the pleasure of staying with her for 4 nights. She was very responsive and flexible when arranging the plans and great for sending regular updates and pictures while I was away. My mind was always at ease and I had no doubt that Franklin was in good hands and enjoying himself. In fact, when I had to pick up Franklin at the end of his stay, he didn’t want to leave! Tahnee really kept great care of him and I would highly recommend using her as a sitter. I will certainly be using her again next time I’m away. I would give her 6 stars if I could!! Thank again for being so trustworthy and giving Franklin so much love. We are lucky to have found such a great sitter!

Any and all instructions you leave for me will be followed with the utmost care to keep your pet happy. Any specific requests for them? Let me know! I allow pets on my bed and couch, unless you prefer them not to. My home has a fully fenced in backyard right out my back door and the front door has two doors to get outside so it’s very safe and secure. I’ll keep you regularly updated throughout their visit, but feel free to reach out to me at anytime for pictures/updates or FaceTime calls. I know I always worry when leaving my pets, so I will do everything I can so you won’t have to.

Please let me know if there are any behavioural issues I should be aware of, as I live on the main floor of a house with tenants above and below me. Due to this, I cannot accept dogs that are very local or have severe separation anxiety as I need to be respectful of my neighbours. I have two lovely cats that are great with dogs, but I do require that your dog is okay being around cats before accepting a booking.
A typical day
Whether your dog loves to adventure and explore or have more of a leisurely vacation, my goal is to make their stay with me as fun, engaging, comfortable and safe as possible. Since I live close to High Park, on nice days I enjoy going for a hike on-leash through the trails. My neighbourhood also has lots of green space for street walks as well. I will not take your dog to an off-leash dog park as those parks can be too unpredictable and your pets safety is my #1 priority.

I’m fortunate enough to work from home which allows me be around your pet the entire time and the flexibility to go for multiple walks and bathroom breaks throughout the day as needed.
