About Rachel

15 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hi!! My name is Rachel and I would love to be your dog sitter!

On a typical day, I'm either out exploring new areas of the city or prepping awesome recipes in the kitchen. I also enjoy movies and any sort of outdoor activities.

I just moved from Phoenix to New York this past summer, where I left behind my dog, Dolce, with my parents. He is a Lhasa Apso and Shitzu mix and 8 years old. I have experience with beagles, boston terriers, and poodles. Don't worry I also love big dogs as well and have experience with Huskies and other large dog breeds.

I live in a 3bd apartment and share it with 2 other roommates. The building is pet friendly so there are lots of other dogs around. I do work during the day (8:30-5:30) so if your dog is house trained and used to a similar schedule that's a huge plus!

Can't wait to watch your pet!

We are return customers for Rachel. She has watched Luna twice now and we are going to use her as much as possible in the future. She provides customized care, she is flexible with scheduling, and even took Luna out to the dog park for some outdoor fun. I highly recommend her!

Rachel watched my dog Rocky a number of times. It's appatent she loves dogs and Rocky always enjoys staying with her. Rachel is flexible, responsive and Reliable. I would absolutely recommend Rachel.
Rachel was a great host! I really appreciated her flexibility with time and kindness towards our dog (he's a rescue and needs more training). I definitely recommend her!
Rachel was more than amazing. As a first time DV user, and also just having our pup Jazz arriving from a long haul flight from Sydney, Australia, we were quite nervous about having to leave Jazz in the big Apple. Rachel was great, very friendly and quickly took a liking to Jazz at our meet and greet. She was also very accommodating and able to make a last minute change and add an extra night for Jazz due to last minute flight changes. She Kept in constant contact with us and sent regular photo updates! Jazz really made a home with Rachel and we could see that she was sad to leave when we came to pick her up. Jazz can't wait to come back!

My husband and I were looking for a host with whom we could establish a long-term relationship with given that we travel often. We prefer our dog stay with the same host for continuity to the extent that person's schedule allows. Rachel was very professional and warm during our first Meet & Greet visit. Our dog takes twice daily oral medication and likes his food prepared a certain way. He also can be a little stand offish in new environments. Despite his quirks Rachel was more than up for the task of caring for him. Rachel watched our dog for a week during our Spring vacation out of the country. She was accessible for the drop-up and pick-up and was very communicative in response to my messages. While we were gone she sent us regular photo updates of our dog and let us know how he was doing. My husband and I do not have children, so our dog is like our child in a way. We've had our dog for almost 10 years and appreciated the personal care Rachel provided for him during our absence. My husband and I plan on traveling for a Summer vacation and we hope Rachel can host our dog again to the extent her schedule allows!
