Why choose Party Animals Love My
I've loved and taken care of dogs all my life. One of my first memories was playing with Patricia, our Cocker Spaniel. I fell in love with dogs at an early age! My beloved 14 year old Westie died from kidney failure. I miss her and miss not having dogs around the house. Now I have the time & ability to love & take care of your dog when you can't. I work out of my 2-story house with a secure enclosed back yard for lots of sniffing, chasing balls and squirrels and exploring all around.
Inside there's plenty of space for your dog(s) to lounge, play with toys, be well fed, petted, pampered and feel right at home. I am responsible, caring, and will treat your pet like my own. Your housebroken, well-behaved pooch will have plenty of space to sleep, play, eat and just hang out ... and of course watch TV and snuggle with me too! And your pet can even sleep in the bedroom if they are use to that.
My goal is for your pooch to feel at home while you're away. It's like having a trusted friend or family member taking care of your dog when you can't.
The first step is to email me about your dog(s) and the dates of your reservation. I'm known for responding quickly. We can talk by phone first to set up a Meet and Greet if we think we're a good match. After the Meet and Greet, we'll confirm your reservation if all goes well.
You'll see it's a very easy process from emailing me now to dropping off your pooch and picking him/her back up with a calm and happy attitude.
Just one less thing you can check off your to-do list!
My $45 a night fee is for small and small/medium-size dogs up to 30 pounds. If we're the right fit, the nightly fee is higher for larger dogs, puppies less than 12 months old and holidays - New Year's, Martin Luther King, Easter, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. All dogs I accept must get along with other dogs and people, be housebroken, and not bark/whine when left alone. Dogs with separation anxiety will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
I often host multiple dogs at a time. Since I have a large backyard, most dogs are happy to run and chase each other in yard to get their exercise. Since I work from home, your pup will get frequent potty breaks in the back yard. We can discuss if your dog requires separate walks.
EXTRA SERVICES: Ask me about other dog-related services you might need. I can bath your dog so they are fresh and clean-smelling when you pick them up. $30 for bath. $25 for brush out only.
CHECK JUNK FILE IF YOU DON'T HEAR BACK FROM ME ON DOG VACAY. I'm known for responding quickly. Sometimes emails from DV have been known to go into junk files. If you don't see a quick response, please check your junk/spam file.
DogVacay Puppy Dog Tails …
My first DogVacay guest was a cute Westie named Logan! Having had two Westies during the past 25 years, it couldn’t have been happenstance that my first guest was a Westie! Logan was my right-paw assistant when two more dog guests came to stay. Logan's human parents said she moped around her house for a couple of days after she left Party Animals Love My Animal House. (I was sad too when she left!) But then Logan remembered where her dog bowl was filled and got back into the routine with her folks.
Another guest, a mix-Beagle named Luna, knew to ring her bell when she needed to use the powder room. What a lady! While I was taking a nap one rainy Saturday afternoon, Luna wormed her way into the human bed even though her parents said she liked her crate. She's one smart puppy! Luna ended up taking most of the bed since she likes to spread out diagonally!
Winter, a sweet, high-energy mix Border Collie, was anxious when she arrived because this was her first time away from home. At the end of her week-long stay, she was one calm, collected and cool dog. Her human caregiver said she was a changed dog – for the better!
Stay tuned for more puppy tails. If you book your pup at my Animal House, you may read a short tail about your good dog!
