About Izzy

4 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
If you drop off your pup at our house, they will be treated with kindness, respect, and all the cuddles they are comfortable with. We live in a pet friendly home with 6 current residents: 3 human, 1 canine (pug, Walden), and 2 feline (Pants & Brioche). [Note: If your dog has any issues with cats, please let us know and we are able to separate the animals.]

We live in a 3-bedroom row house that is animal-proof with comfy places for animals to nap or play throughout the house. Dogs are allowed on couches, chairs, and my (Izzy's) bed. [Note: Dogs are welcome to sleep in my bed or I am happy to set up an area. If you'd like them to be in a crate, please provide as I don't have one.]

Doors to rooms where the dogs shouldn't go are simply closed to avoid confusion. I work from home and mornings tend to be spent with breakfast, a morning walk, and then naptime or playtime while I do some work. Depending on the dog and the weather, afternoons/evenings are spent in the backyard playing or cuddling. Working at home allows me to pay attention to and respond to animals' needs as they arise. While this is typical, I am happy to accommodate and do whatever makes your dog feel at ease.

We have a small, gated front yard where the dogs are encouraged to go to the bathroom. We live on a city street and have kind neighbors who often come over to pet (though always ask first) whichever dogs are around. We live on the same block as a dog park, which always has at least a few dogs playing around -- even in the rain! [Note: If your dog does not like the dog park or is not up to date on medications or vaccines, let us know and we will not take them to the park.] We also have a sizable backyard with some turf down for playing with the dogs and giving them space to be outside.

Izzy loves dogs! He is a great sitter who takes excellent care of my dogs. I have no worries about how my 'kids' are doing when I'm away. Very comforting when planning a trip that I don't have to be concerned about my home and pets.
