Paradise in Morningside Heights is a home where even the most homesick dog will be so entertained......They'll get over it. We are fairly new to hosting our home, but have been pet sitting whether for friends, or friends of a friend for years. With having a dog of our own, we know how important it is to find the right person to trust when away. It's pretty much leaving your family member with a stranger! No worries, we are reliable, responsible and experienced dog lovers offering our safe and cozy home to yours. Our home is a 3 bedroom apartment on the 7th floor with in-building elevator and unlimited access to spacious rooftop. We are directly in the middle of Morningside park and Central park so the "kids" have plenty of areas to play. There is a vet across the street as well as several dog grooming locations a block or two away. We own our own car in case of any emergencies, last minute pick ups/drop offs, etc., as well a 5 minute drive from an emergency animal hospital. About Us: Melissa works full time, 9-5 as a legal assistant who is home mostly nights and weekends. James is an independent recording artist/song writer who freelances in audio engineering with an in home studio - So he is available at all times during the day to watch our special guest(s). We also have a roommate (Johnny) who is Melissa's cousin. He helps every way he can whenever one of us are unavailable. There is always someone home to watch the dogs. Meet our son: Dookie is a 10 year old mixed large Pomeranian who we believe is more human than dog. He is energetic like a puppy, well trained, plays aggressively at times but is harmless. He's an only child so he's used to being the center of attention but warms up to company very quickly and is always willing to share his throne. He is not neutered (But don't worry "it" doesn't work) and he is up to date with all his vaccines. Additional info: - We request all dogs already be fully housebroken and up to date with all vaccines. - We usually take one reservation at a time (with exceptions). - You will be updated as much as needed with videos and photos. - Your dog will be walked and fed as many times as requested.
