20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Why send your pets to a boarding facility when they can be part of a family in your absence? Make their vacation just as fun & relaxing as yours!

You will find that I truly love caring for my guests and really enjoy giving them a home away from home while you and your family are away.

Although I do this out of my home, I am a fully licensed commercial dog kennel through the State of Iowa. I have 12 years professional experience which includes doggie day care/ obedience training work, administering medications, light first aid, bathing, and dog foster care. Our home is typically calm, quiet, and smoke free. We have a fenced backyard (6' privacy fence). We have a dog run leading from under our deck out to a separate fenced area that provides shade and also to help us keep the main area of our yard clean. Our front and back gates are locked from the inside, keeping your baby safe.

Your dog will enjoy our home as a member of our own family. His (or her) days would include lots of love and snuggles, belly rubs, games of fetch and laser chasing. Our guests are treated to cool, breezy naps on the screened porch during spring and fall, A/C in the summer, or resting beside the fire when they need to warm frosty little noses. I am sure to maintain the diet you provide, and exclude anything that you are uncomfortable with (i.e. snacks, treats, and/ or "cookies"). I make sure that your pet stays well hydrated via many well placed bowls of fresh water ready to be slurped up at a moments notice. You will be able to take home a very happy pet that has burned off lots of energy, leaving you and your family to enjoy your evening or return home.

I am happy to accept all breeds (once I can observe your pet's good temperament at a meet and greet appointment) so long as your pet is compatible with all other pets and young children. All dogs MUST be comfortable around and able get along well with other dogs. They must not have any aggression issues regarding toys, food, or other items. While I do accept larger dogs. I am not sure that the largest/ most active ones will be a good fit, as we do have limited space & a smaller yard. You are welcome to take a look at my photos & videos of Facebook at

I do not take puppies or dogs that bark excessively. Any dogs that are not neutered or spayed will need to be separated from other dogs during their stay per the regulations on my animal welfare license. For this reason, I prefer to host only dogs that are spayed & neutered.

If kenneling is something that your dog is used to for sleeping, taking a break from play time, or when you are away from home; please bring his or her kennel along so that they can maintain the routines they are used to at home. I ask that your dog's belongings are kept only to what is necessary for their stay. Extra toys can get lost, chewed up by other dogs, or accidently sent home with the wrong dog. I prefer to avoid this when possible.

When I have guests, I continue my routine as usual. So, while I do spend most of my time at home, with your pet. I am gone for short periods of time to take care of necessities. This means that dogs that get along well may be left alone together when I am not at home. I never leave dogs alone before I get to know that they play nicely together and have no aggression issues towards each other what so ever. When this is the case, all dogs are free to comfortably roam my home. Should any of the dogs in my care require separation from the group while I am out, I am sure to see that everybody is safe and comfy either in their own provided kennel or safely divided by a gate that spans my kitchen.

I do not accept small puppies that are less than two years old, dogs that are not 100% house trained, dogs that use potty pads for elimination, or dogs with any kind of incontinence. This includes dogs that are afraid to do their business when the weather is not cooperating.

I understand accidents due to being introduced into a new environment with lots of excitement. However, should I experience excessive accidents/ marking that require carpet cleaning etc. you will receive a custom quote for a minimum of $50 that will be higher should your pet's stay exceed 7 days. This will need to be accepted before you pick your dog up.

Pick up times:

Monday - Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 7:00p.m.

Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Please schedule your pet's stay so that they can be picked up or dropped off during these hours only.
* No pick ups/ drop offs after hours or on Holidays.

All dogs are required to have Pampered Pups forms printed, filled out, & must be provided before first stay. These can be found in the photos section of my profile. Dogs must also be current on vaccinations. I do not have a fax & do not use my personal email to receive these. So, please bring along a printed copies of each that I can keep on record for your pet. These will need to be updated annually.

Required vaccinations:
DPP- One, or three year vaccine.

Rabies- One, or three year vaccine.

Proof of spaying or neutering.

Brinkly had a wonderful time at Renatta's that day!!! Loved playing with the other dogs for sure and was exhausted the next day!!! She is wonderful and put this momma at ease!!!
Wonderful. I am very happy to find Renatta and her great care for my dog. My dog is older and needs some quiet time and Renatta knows so well how to adapt her program for different dogs. YAY !!!!!!!
My dog is very shy, but Renatta did a great job with getting all dogs acquainted with each other. My dog adjusted very well. This is her second visit, and she quickly went into her house when I dropped her off. She came home a happy dog. Renatta is very attentive and welcoming. Staying at her place is also a great opportunity for socialization of the dogs!
Peanut had a great stay! He was happy when we picked him up and seemed to get along with the other dogs fine. Renatta took care of our 13-year-old dog as she would one of her own. He was not stressed when we picked him up, which he often is when we board him at a kennel. Would recommend her and look forward to using her again.
KC and Teddy seemed to have had a great time with Renatta! Teddy even allowed Renatta to hold and comfort him when my wife dropped-off our "kids." This is rare! Both dogs were happy and eager when picked-up, but calm enough to "sit for leash." We will definitely look to Renatta if we need dog-sitting again.
Friendly, great service, very accommodating. I highly recommend Renatta. Thank you!
I think Honey had a great time but she was happy to see me. Renatta did a great job with her and will take her there again
We felt so comfortable leaving Banks with Renatta and her family. Banks had a great time at their house and he looks forward to going back. There are so many things to love about this place!
Renatta is wonderful to work with and I knew my dogs were bring treated like one of her own! We will definitely use her services in the future and highly recommend her to other pet parents!
Renatta treated Maddy like she was one of her own, I don't think she wanted to come home!
We had a wonderful experience with Renatta. She has a very pet-loving home and an ideal back yard for which to roam.
Renatta was fabulous! Our dog is old, spoiled, and has special needs. She was very attuned to this, letting him play with the other dogs, yet giving him alone time as needed. She checked in with us and posted pics for reassurance. She is energetic, organized, knowledgable, and caring. Renatta knew the dogs in her care so well that we weren't sure which one actually lived there, they were obviously all loved. I would trust her with an infant!
Hodor had a great time! Came home tired after playing all day. It is nice leaving him in a home setting instead of your typical kennel. Renatta truly cares for the dogs she watches!
Renatta is great! Chompsky loved it there.
Renatta is fantastic! I would highly recommend her to anyone. Our Australian Shepard is high energy and he came home tired! He loved playing with the other dogs and I have no negative remarks!! He has done very poorly in kennel situations so I was looking for a different option and this was perfect for him. He received much love from Renatta! Thank you Renatta so much!!!Chaz thanks you too!!
Renatta did a great job taking care of bronn. She provided great videos and updates of how we he was doing. An overnight stay was a big concern for me but she did a great job of pampering him just like at home.
My dog was happy, content and enjoyed his time with Renatta. He has definitely gained a new playmate.
Renatta was wonderful! Finnley had a great time!!
Trent loved his stay at Renatta's! Her home is very pet friendly. I would recommend her to any of my family and friends with furry babies!!
Deacon loved his stay with Renatta, and I felt comforted knowing he was being well taken care of while I was gone. I would highly recommend her and plan to use Renatta again in the future!
Bella had a great time and I felt comfortable knowing she was in good hands. I definitely recommend Renatta! It was seeing photos and videos of Bella on Facebook while I was traveling.
We were so nervous to leave our baby for the first time - especially for 10 days! Renatta had an AMAZINGLY setup, took the time to get to know our baby, and sent us lots of pictures and videos. It was a huge relief to know she was in a home, in great hands, instead of in a kennel. I can't say enough great things! Thank you so much!
Our dog really liked Renatta. It was reassuring to see pictures of our dog throughout her stay. Our dog came home super tired so i know she was active and having fun!
Fantastic! Renatta is so sweet and I felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her. We'll be back!
