About Leah

20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
We offer a warm, loving home devoted to your pet. My husband, Jonathan, and I have been dog lovers from childhood and have raised both of our boys to be caring and nurturing pet handlers. I, Leah, am primarily a stay-at-home mom, although I do work part-time on Tues/Wed/Thursday mornings. I am otherwise available at all times to keep close watch over your beloved pets. I had also acquired much knowledge of general animal husbandry through specialized veterinary technician classes at Los Angeles Pierce College (Woodland Hills, CA) before moving up to the Sacramento area.

Our home has a well-maintained, securely fenced backyard and can be freely accessed via pet door (accommodates medium to small dogs). We offer bathing and basic grooming services as well as dog-walking in our quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. We have two miniature schnauzers of our own, Roscoe & Maggie Mae, who are treated like royalty. Your beloved dog would be welcomed and loved every bit as much while in our care!

This was our first Dog Vacay and we were very happy! Leah was a great host. She spent a lot of time at our Meet and Greet making me comfortable with where the dogs would be, what they would be doing and answering any questions I had (I had a lot!). During the stay Leah kept us updated with pictures and information on how they were doing. The dogs seemed to have a great time and got lots of attention from the whole family. I plan on letting the dogs go on "vacay" at Leah's place again!

Titus had a fabulous time with Leah and her family. They made him feel right at home. :o)
Thanks so much. It was comforting to know you were with the pups every day. Love the photos.
Great experience! I took my dog there for an evening visit only, just to get her used to a strange environment for future stays. Leah and her family are great. A very calm and serene environment.
Leah, her husband and children were very nice to my Bella, I can tell that by the warm greeting right away I was comfortable leaving Bella my 7 month old Maltipoo for the first time overnight. I was comfortable with the fact she was an experienced animal lover of all kinds she has ..Birds, a Turtle, and two dogs of her own..Leah was Patient with my Bella and understanding about having a couple of "accidents" being so young and around a new schedule with many friends..Thank you, Leah for the Pictures, for caring for my sweet Bella.

Our dog Ripley's stay was wonderful. They took great care of her, communicated and sent pictures frequently. The transition home was smooth. It was fantastic not having to worry about the care of your dog! We will definitely use Leah in the future.

Thanks!

Leah and her family were great! I'm pretty picky about who takes care of my dog, and I felt very comfortable leaving my dog in her care. He had a great time and Leah was great about updating me with photos. I will definitely use her again if I need a place for my dog!

Leah and Jonathan were incredibly warm
and welcoming during our initial meet and greet. My dog Ruby was immediately comfortable in their home, and with them. She is super high energy and loves to gives kisses, which they were happy to receive! Leah sends lots of pictures and video of Ruby throughout the day with her new dog and turtle pals. We are new to the area and very happy to have found such a friendly and safe place to care for our baby, Ruby!

Leah was fantastic! A previous sitter was unavailable for the whole time period I needed, so I contacted Leah. She is located very close to my house, and this was a bonus. My dog is a little larger than the dogs she usually takes, but because he has a history of getting along with large and small dogs, she graciously agreed to a Meet and Greet. He met the whole family, including the dogs, and explored the good-sized yard. Everyone seemed to get along, so he returned for a stay. There were a couple of other dogs there on Vaycay during part of his stay and he took an instant liking to one of them in particular. While he was there, Leah sent tons of photos showing my dog involved in various activities such as investigating their tortoise, eating, sleeping, and just hanging out. This really put me at ease! In fact, he looked like he was feeling so much at home and having such a good time, it crossed my mind that he might not ever want to leave. Not to worry, he was happy to see me when I returned. Leah insisted on walking us out to my car where she gave my dog one last big hug. Being left for a few days is bound to be somewhat stressful for a dog, but the warm family environment was perfect for him. He was even able to sleep on the bed like at home, and he was Leah's "bed buddy." Leah's love of dogs and skill in taking care of them is very evident, and I would highly recommend her to others. Walnut and I would love to have him visit again!

My little guy Cado is my sweet fur baby. I am very picky when it comes to my dogs care. He is a white Pom and very friendly and is a only child and needs lots of attention. Leah is very kind, loving and Cado loves her Rosko and Maggie her two beautiful dogs. When Cado got home from his visit he was relaxed, calm and happy to see me. I will definitely give high marks for this dog sitter. They have a doggy door and a nice yard to run and play. I will be using her in the future.

If only we could give more than 5/5 stars, cause if I could I definitely would!! Leah and her family are seriously so welcoming and took such great care of my dog Abby. Leah would send multiple pics and updates via text and some great detailed messages about how Abby was doing and the funny little things she would do. Leah is so great at what she does. We will definitely be returning to Leah in the future. She has such a warm welcoming home and her two dogs got along well with my shy dog Abby. Thanks again Leah, I could seriously go on and on.

Leah has made my little man a member of her family, and I feel totally comfortable leaving him there. She has been flexible, reliable and is a lifesaver
Leah was great. She was prompt, positive, and very flexible. I was having trouble finding somewhere to take care of my baby while I work long hours. She welcomed my little man for daycare with open arms and made me feel at ease. She is a lifesaver.
Great experience. I got Picts and updates and I was so comfortable leaving the boys. Also, she was sweet and, as it was my birthday, I got a birthday card. I plan on going back!
