About Jane

40 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
A DOG'S PURPOSE: To be loved, coddled, cuddled and adored. That's the way it is at our house!

I have been adopting dogs for 30+ years. My Lance, who came from a kill shelter in LA 5 years ago, is a sweetheart and very gracious with other dogs. He loves to have visitors because he is used to living with another dog. But now he is an only boy and thrilled when guests come to stay. We have a smallish, but not too small, front patio which is safe from escape where the doggies can hang out. They are never outside unless I am in the living room with the door open so I can see and hear them. Always under my watchful eye. I'm on the computer a lot and take at least 5 leisurely walks a day, starting with our 45 minute walk early in the morning. There are grounds where we live so plenty of places to walk and sniff.

I've now had 10 dogs of my own so I am used to cleaning ears, eyes and giving pills. I'm not very strict so our guests are really treated like they live here...which they do while you're away!

Lance and I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully a stay at Casa DogMom!

Jane moved into my neighborhood, where Bella and I have lived for 3 years. Bella had a reputation of being the 'mean one', the 'bad one' and people walking dogs, tended to avoid her by crossing the road. Then Bella met Jane on one of our walks. Jane was walking her Lance. Bella fell in love..... not with Lance,... with Jane. She is Bella's 'go to', as soon as we clear the patio. Jane has since been Bella's mid morning walker when I am at work and she cares for Bella and Beau (big black cat) when I have to be gone for any length of time. Jane and Lance have been instrumental in socializing Bella and she is no longer 'the bad dog' of the neighborhood. and even though I have accused Jane of wearing a porkchop around her neck...she doesn't, but the dogs love her none the less!

I could tell from our first meeting that Jane was a true dog lover! She was very open to doing the "extras" that I wanted done: brushing, cleaning the eye area, etc.

Her dog Lancelot was also very welcoming. Seve and he hit it off right away. I also appreciate (and Seve) that she will only take one dog at a time.

The only downside was that she did not have a yard for Seve to explore.

Thanks Jane (and Lancelot) for opening up your home to Seve for the holidays!

My dog had a truly delightful time with Jane and Lance.
It was a pleasure meeting Jane and her sweet guy (dog), Lancelot. She was a caring and loving caretaker and was a great find. I will be calling on her again in the near future. .
This was Buddy's first time staying overnight anywhere without us and we were worried that he might miss us and misbehave. Jane was wonderful from the moment we met. She introduced Buddy to her dog and they became instant friends. She sent us several updates while we were away and Buddy had a wonderful time, even sleeping on Jane's bed! It is obvious that Jane loves dogs and really wants to make sure that they are comfortable and get walked several times a day. We will definitely leave Buddy with Jane the next time we travel. I highly recommend her for anyone who wants their dog to have a great vacation while they are away .
