I am 36, originally from here in the Hudson River Valley; I lived in Maryland for 10 years and returned to New York in 2011. Mongo is my second rescue and third canine companion. I have fostered cats since 2007 and raised lizards, hamsters, and fish. I enjoy the company of animals and good people. I am not put off by snakes and rodents, nor unappreciative of cats and fish, whoever you have invited to join your family. My schedule is based around a part time job and full time college. I start my weekday with a work shift from 5am to 9am. I am available after 1:30 pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Tuesday I am only available after 5pm, and Thursday I am available after noon. I am free all hours on weekends. I am flexible with picking up and dropping off-whatever is most convenient is fine by me!
I can pay a visit to any and all pets that you have. Dog friends can come to visit us here for daycare in pairs, but only 1 dog at a time for overnight stays. I have space and experience for dogs who don't feel well or need special care. We do not board cats but are happy to pay them a visit them at home while you are away.
I have a comfortable indoor space as well as a safe, partially fenced in yard and a quiet walking neighborhood. We are close to trails and dog parks. We have gates and crates, just in case. Dogs are allowed on all the furniture, can use all the blankets, and of course are free to bring their own comforts if they wish. There is even a bed upstairs and guests are welcome to it. We have a two other humans in the house who enjoy the company of a furry house-guest as well.
