I know it is never easy to leave your pet behind either to go work everyday or to take a trip once in a while. So I want you to rest assured that you are leaving her/him with the best care giver possible, only second to you. I did not grow up with pets, but as an adult have always been around pets and have never said no to the possibility of living with them. Even while working overseas, in a place like Afghanistan or Syria, I took in stray animals.
I have owned and cared for cats and dogs most of my life. (I have cared for a couple of rabbits and a few other creatures as well.) I have always bathed (I once bathed a Malamute!) and groomed (including cutting nails) my own dogs and sometimes friends’ dogs, too. I am at ease with administering their medication if need be. I can teach dogs a few tricks as well.
I had to leave a pet behind when I left CA in May and I am not ready to commit to another yet. But it will be my joy and pleasure to take care of yours.
All I ask of you is to please let me know if your dog is not potty-trained or if s/he has had accidents in the past.
Thank you for considering me!
