About Lynne

*We are currently out of country until 2016*
It's a dog's life at our house! This is a highly personalized in-home service for your dog so you can have a guilt free vacation. I take the time to assess each dogs needs and strive to achieve a well balanced and stress free environment.

As well as having a secure back yard for supervised play, we get out for walks 2-3 times a day. Walks vary from training on-leash, off leash walks on the North Shore trails, socializing and maybe mountain biking.

I have a lifetime of experiences with animals ranging from assisting at dog obedience classes, volunteering at Grouse Mountain refuge centre and the Humaine Society, horsemanship and growing up on a farm.

Jaxson gets along with any dog and we enjoy having another companion. New dogs fall into our schedule very quickly and settle well with our family. We look forward to meeting your dog of any breed, age or size.

Please note there will be an extra 15% charge during Christmas, Spring Break and on Statutory Holidays and for puppies. For puppies, I spend extra time with positive reinforcement training exercises that he/she will be happy to show off for you when you return.

Also, I prefer not the take dogs with separation anxiety that cannot be left alone for a couple hours a day.

The most rewarding experience with dogs is making that connection and it varies with every dog!

Kita always has an amazing time with Lynne!
Lynne and family are fantastic. Our two dogs have stayed with her before and love her. Recently, when we entered the yard they almost pulled my arms off trying to get to the front door, they were so excited to see her. The tail wagging going on was so fast they were a blur when she answered the door. I really appreciate having someone I trust looking after my special friends. Oh, and I love getting the photos of the dogs on their walks.

lynne was a fantastic host! she introduced our dog kili into her pack with ease and i was able to walk away for my weekend, sans dog, with complete faith and confidence that kili would be very well taken care of. she also sent emails of kili having fun with her and her pack once a day - thanks so much for the care you gave our lil pup, lynne! Lynne is a fantastic DogVacay host. Her home and family make a great holiday situation for our dogs. I love getting the photos every day, seeing the dogs having fun. It`s great to heve someone whom you trust looking after your four legged `kids`. I will certainly ask for her again next time we go away.

Once again Kita had a great time at Lynne's! She came home extremely tired and happy!
We couldn't be happier! Our dog was well cared for and it looked like she had a fantastic time. It was absolutely a stress free experience.
Kita loves spending time with Lynne and her family- she always comes home happy and tired!
Lynne is great! Tigger had a fantastic time. She takes the dogs on long walks through the forest and Tigger is super chilled when he gets home. I would highly recommend Lynne - she really connects with the dog and is very professional.
Lynne was terrific. She really knows how to make the dogs comfortable. Her home and garden are very dog-friendly. Our two dogs became part of her family and, I'm sure, had a wonderful time. She took the time to meet with us first in the park, so our dogs could meet with her dog and get to know each other. She took information about our two dogs and their habits and temperaments. Every day I received some photos of our dogs, which really made our day. I will gladly ask Lynne to look after our dogs if we go away again. Thanks.

I think Lulu loves going to Lynn's house and I have complete peace of mind that she is receiving great care and attention
Lynne took great care of our rhodesian ridgeback- she came home a tired girl! Loved all the pictures of her adventures with the dogs while we were away!
Marley really enjoys spending time with Lynne and Jaks.
We were delighted to leave Whiskey with Lynne again last week. He was very excited to visit Jaxson and the family once more. Lynne is excellent and we feel very comfortable leaving Whiskey with her.
Lynne is calm but commanding with the dogs. She has some really good training tips. Our dog, Marley, loves going to visit her.
We left our 5 month old puppy Cooper (Bernese/Golden) with Lynn and he had a fantastic time. He was socialized perfectly with her other dogs and has since made a good friend in Neo! He came home a much calmer dog and had good manners too! We opted for the training/dog sitting and while Lynn took care of Cooper she also taught him good manners and off leash skills. We had updates with pictures during our vacation so we had no concerns while we were away. I highly recommend her and her loving family to take care of your dog.

We were delighted to find Lynne. She was very straightforward and easy to deal with. We appreciated the many photos she sent of Whiskey throughout the week. We knew that Whiskey was being well taken care of and that he was enjoying a holiday as well.

Marley had a great time with the other two dogs....she ran, played, swam. Lynne likes to get out into the trails with her dogs and they always have fun.
Lynne is an awesome doggie host. She took the time to meet us and Neo before his stay and go for a walk to see how he is off leash and with other dogs. We are so fortunate to have found her and we totally trust her to take care of Neo. We've already booked her for our next vacation! Thanks so much Lynne for all your care. Neo was sooo tired when he got home!

Lynne was fabulous. Informative pre-vacay stroll in which her passion for, and connectedness with, dogs was clear. Thanks for the photos. I'm not sure whether my family, or our dog, had a more enjoyable vacation!
Lynne take the dogs outside onto the trails where they spend time running, swimming, exploring and playing. Marley comes home tired but happy!
Lynne should be an ambassador for DogVacay - if you care about your dog call Lynne, seriously, right now!

Two weeks ago I started my search for boarding for my 85lb Weimaraner. What I've learned is that currently most hosts in Vancouver live in small condos and either don't have the space or experience to handle bigger active sporting dogs. Lynne lives in a house with a good sized front and back yard that is fenced. But that doesn't matter because her backyard leads to numerous trails that allows dogs to be dogs. Lynne also owns a Rhodesian Ridgeback, Jax, who is super balanced and good at reading when other dogs want to play or be left alone. My dog loved Jax - serious man crush!

Upon arrival at our meet and greet Lynne asked if we could take a walk along the trails. This put me at ease because I knew she was interviewing me and my dog as much as I was interviewing her. We all love our dogs and are prone to embellishment and a quick stroll will allow both host and guest to see how our dogs really behave - you want that in a host. From watching Lynne handle Jax and my dog I knew she was someone who understood dog behavior and that's more important than a host who just loves dogs. Did I mention that Lynne assists with dog obedience training?

I explained that my dog loves to run off-leash, swims every other day and needs more than just walks around the block. Lynne assured me that wouldn't be a problem. I believed her because Jax is very fit looking ... ahem, Lynne is too :) And you want that in a host because I believe that a host with a dog that radiates health is more likely to engage in activity with my dog.

After a one week stay my dog looked just as fit if not fitter than before - bonus points because my dog does have mild separation anxiety and often loses weight during past boardings. Lynne was able to accommodate all my concerns and even applied some homeopathic first aid to some minor wounds my dog had developed before the stay - kind of embarrassing when your dog comes back looking better than before the vacation.

Lynne sent me daily updates with photos and was quick to respond to all my messages. Oh, did I mention that Lynne was actually booked for a couple of our last days of vacation. She didn't accept my booking during our meet and greet as she had to think about timing and juggling of a couple of other older smaller dogs and consult with their owners. You seriously want that in a host because there's nothing worse than a "yes person" host who takes too many dogs and can't handle all the different personalities.

Well, I'd better end this thank you/love letter to Lynne and Jax because I don't want to offend her husband who I've seen dig holes in the garden. When it came time to say goodbye, my dog who is well-trained to jump into the car (as I randomly leave high-valued treats inside for motivation) didn't want to go - like putting on the brakes and flexing with every muscle fiber. Lynne noticed this and walked back inside with Jax ... my dog still didn't want to leave with me ... the person who raised him from a pup and picks up the cheque after every meal.

I can't thank Lynne enough for taking my last minute booking, spending so much time during our meet and greet and treating my dog as part of her family. But Lynne, you owe me 2 Advils because I compressed a vertebrae dragging my dog into the car!

Very attentive her care for Roley is most appreciated Thanks Craig
Lynn was a wonderful home away from home for my dog. She sent pictures and updates every couple of days and I really felt like my dog was getting a great in home experience. Thanks Lynn for your care and attention to detail
We were very nervous deciding where we would leave our 5 month old puppy while we went for a 1 week vacation. We felt very fortunate to have found Lynne. Not only did she and her family welcome our Odie into their home as one of their own she was very responsive to his special dietary needs as a puppy as well as taught him some basic obedience tricks which he still continues to impress us with at home!! Their beautiful dog Jax has become like a big brother for Odie and she sent us pix of them playing and hiking together all week long. It was very evident to us that he was well cared for and that he loved them like his second family. I can’t express my appreciation enough to Lynne and her family for their wonderful care of our precious pup. Thank you Lynne O and family!!

I felt very comfortable having left Nikki with her. She kept in touch about her progress and sent the occasional picture as well. She coped well with my high maintenance geriatric dog with health issues.
Lynne responded promptly and was able to take our dog on short notice. Her home has ample outside space and Meelo was kept busy and felt at home during her stay. We were updated on her status while we were away and as our dog has not stayed away from home often, Lynne summarized well how Meelo adapted during her stay. Lynne was also knowledgeable about taking care of dogs and made an effort to familiarize herself with the particular needs of our dog.

Lynne was very 'dog aware' and Roley took to you with ease Loved the update messages and pictures Overall a very positive experience Thanks
This was really the first time we that we had to leave both our dogs, Cyrus and Leo, with someone else overnight, and we were more than a little nervous. We had a son's wedding to go to, though, so, full speed ahead!

Within a few hours after leaving them with Lynne O. ("O U Lucky Dog"), our fears were gone. She sent us pictures, text messages, and email!

Highly recommended! When we picked them up the next day, Cyrus and Leo were in good shape, and good spirits.
