About Azy

20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hi all - My name is Azy and I have loved, lived and worked with animals (companion, wildlife and exotics) for about twenty years either at home, in a veterinary environment, as a ranger, a rehabilitator or as a welfare researcher. My husband and I currently do not have any canines of our own to play, cuddle or enjoy the outdoors, although we do have a couple of pretty stellar felines we share our home with. I am currently a veterinary school hopeful and as such find studying and enjoying the outdoors while I hang out with your pets, an ideal match. I have sat seniors, blind pets, post-surgical pets, pets on medications and super-active friends as well. I find that I tend to bond quite well with the furry friends I have pet-sat thus far, considering myself a bit of a pet auntie :). Most importantly though, I know what it's like to go on holidays and the struggle to find someone you trust to treat your little one the way that you would yourself. I have therefore always taken my pet-sitting roles on with great pride and responsibility. I do not underestimate how they may feel given that they are suddenly with a stranger, but promise you that by the second time I pet-sit, I am generally well-received by my new friends. Given that I have two anti-pup kitties at home, the pet-sitting services would be provided at your home. I find that most pups tend to be more comfortable as such anyhow and it makes for a more continuous routine and less stressful transition. Looking forward to meeting you and your fur-friends/family.

Azy has looked after our dog Ringo a number of times. She is exceptionally caring, trustworthy, dependable and knowledgeable. She treats your pet as one of her own and clearly loves animals. She has both lived in our house while sitting and dropped in on a daily basis to take him for a walk. I would highly recommend her for pet-sitting and will use her again if needed.

Azy is amazing! She first came in to stay at our house and pet-sit for a full week after our dog had had major surgery. She took fantastic care of her and our 3 cats and multiple fish, and has done both in home and daily visit petsitting ever since on a regular basis. She is super conscientous, extremely knowledgeable, and the pets adore her! We wouldn't trust anyone else to look after our furbabies. :)

Azy did home sitting for my 14+ year old Bull Terrier Shelby whenever I had to go out of town or went on trips. I found Azy to be so caring and so conscientious when it came to Shelby's well being and health. Shelby had a lot of health issues due to her age and because of Azy's background working at the Veterinarian clinic ( a bonus she knew Shelby there as well) she was so great at understanding her conditions (as well as helping me understand them too!) and administering all her medications and preparing her special diet. And I got a full report when I returned when I did not expect but it was greatly appreciated. I can't say enough good things about her caring nature as Shelby was a high needs dog and she went beyond the call of duty to ensure she was as comfortable as possible. As Shelby was nearing the end and I had to travel I took great comfort in knowing Shelby was in the best care possible and that included my house as well as Azy stayed in the house for the whole duration.
