6 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
The number one reason to choose me to care for your fur baby is that I love dogs and I work from home as an Operational Manager for a medical company based out of Dallas, TX. Having the luxury of working from home, I get to be with my fur babies and yours all day. Other pet sitters in the area have the same life style as most Americans where they have to leave their pets at home for eight or more hours a day to go to work. This is not the case with me. I have a very demanding and stressful full time job. The pet services I provide are for me, my passion and hobby. I'm sure you have heard that by just petting a dog a day reduces your blood pressure levels. I guess this is why I have three of my own and enjoy taking care of others to reduce my stress level.

A little bio of my experience and love for dogs:
I did not have a dog growing up and so after I got married, my husband, Chris and I bought two dogs immediately! The first fur baby we fell in love with was Koa. We rescued Koa from a puppy mill. Koa is a male Maltese and is six years old now. A few weeks after getting Koa we adopted a pure breed female Boxer from a breeder in Austin, Texas. Our boxer, Maui is also six years old. For three years it was my husband, our two dogs and myself. After three years with Koa and Maui I was itching to add another dog to our pack. My husband was against adding a third dog so I started volunteering at a No Kill Animal Shelter in Dallas, Texas so I could be around as many dogs as I wanted. I convinced my husband to visit me at the shelter one day while I was volunteering and we left with our third dog!:) We fell in love with a three year old Boxer mix and named her Hana.

Soon after we added Hana to our family my husband took a promotion in Flagstaff, AZ with his company. We live in a very large town home with a fenced in back yard near nature trails. I can utilize the five separate floors to accommodate specific doggy needs.

Having three dogs and a toddler, adding a fourth dog is out of the question. I have that itch again to rescue another so this is why I am on Rover.com. I love my three dogs like they are humans and would treat yours the same. All three of my dogs have pet insurance and are all micro-chipped. Koa, Maui and Hana are up to date on their vaccines and are on Sentinel for heart worm, flea and tick prevention. Obviously they get along with other dogs very well and they love to meet and play with new dogs.

I look forward to caring for your fur baby when you need a break, vacation or emergency. You will have piece of mind knowing your fur baby is in a safe and loving environment so you can enjoy your time away.

We cannot recommend Nicole enough! She is a fantastic dog mom and was the most trustworthy, sweet, and thoughtful host for our pups. We left our two pups in her loving home for 5 nights while we vacationed in Sedona, and although we missed our babies the whole time, we were completely happy to know they were in such good care. Nikki sent us photos and kept us up to date on their status. Our dogs can be a bit of a handful, and this was our first time using DogVacay, so we were a little anxious, but we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. It all worked out so well, but mostly because Nikki and her family were so awesome. They completely made our dogs feel at home and earned/gained their trust right away. For our two rescues, that's no easy feat. If you do have a chance to book with Nicole, do not hesitate for a moment! Your pups will be so well cared for and you will have peace of mind that we never fully have when we board them at a kennel. We are forever spoiled by her example.

My little dog Zorro stayed with Nicole's family in August and then again in September. Both experiences were exactly what I had hoped for when I first learned of DogVacay. Zorro was a rescue and I worried that leaving him in a kennel while I was away would feel to him as not all that unlike waiting in the pound had been. I brought Zorro with me to meet with Nicole and her family ahead of time and the atmosphere of warmth along with their understanding of dogs was reassuring. Zorro immediately seemed comfortable playing with their dogs and enjoying the attention of Nicole and her family. While I was away he got walks everyday, a yard to play in, and one of his favorite things - to be around people all day as if a member of their family instead of being secluded by himself in a room or a cage. Nicole kept me informed by email as to how he was doing while I was away, and she later went out of her way to help when I was unable to get back on the expected date. I returned to find Zorro looking healthy and cheerful. Perhaps the best proof that he ha enjoyed his stay was when we returned for his second stay and he raced ahead to their door, whining until they came and opened it for him, and then rushed in enthusiastically to see them again.

We made an early appointment with Nicole (7:30 AM) because we had a lot of places to go. When we dropped Lily off, Nicole was friendly and ready to take charge of Lily. We talked about meeting her dogs, when she usually eats and how much activity she likes. Nicole has a baby and I was not sure how Lily would act as she has never been around a baby. Nicole reassured us she would be careful and we left for our fun filled day. We received pictures during the day of Lily from Nicole and Lily looked like she was doing great. When we picked up Lily, Nicole said she did great with the baby. Lily was happy. Nicole is great!
