My wife and I are life long dog lovers who are home all day and miss having a dog of our own around the house. Our current lifestyles aren't compatible with having our own dogs anymore - we work from home but divide our time 50/50 between our homes in USA and Europe with a good dose of cruising and other travel in between. We stumbled across DogVacay and thought it would be a terrific way to have a four-legged friend with us while we are at home in Kissimmee. Over the years we have both been involved with a number of animal related charities and sanctuaries. We have also both been vegetarians for ethical reasons for over 30 years.
We'd be delighted to have your dog stay with us and we're happy to follow any particular exercise or feeding schedules you require. We live in a four bedroom townhome with our own patio area which is located in a dog friendly gated community. Because we work from home to our own schedules we are around for your dog 24/7. They will never be left unattended and will get as much love, hugs, games and exercise as they want. It's very important that your pet is house trained... although we do own a Bissell carpet cleaner just in case there are any accidents!
We are also happy to mind your dog for the day if you'd like a worry free day at the theme parks. We are just 20 minutes from most Disney parks and 30 minutes from Universal. We can also do evenings if you just fancy a dinner date. Please bear in mind that our day care rates cover up to 8 hours during normal business hours (9am to 6pm). Longer stays and earlier or later pickup times may attract higher rates. For example a full theme park day with an early morning drop off and late night pick up would be 2x the standard day care rate.
We are usually in Kissimmee between October to April every year. Please get in touch if you'd like to meet us.
Please also note that for a first time stay we cannot commit to more than two nights because I suffer from allergies. I am absolutely fine with most dogs but occasionally one can set off my asthma and eczema so I do need to be extra careful.
