I'm a mature person in a quiet, safe, pet-friendly neighborhood with little through traffic. My cozy corner is 1/2 blk from 1600 acre Pennypack Park, a minute off US 1, and 7 min. off 95
I'm not working so, my routine is to take the dogs under my care for several long walks and sniffy tours on sidewalks, paved driveways and foot paths in the park throughout the day and early evening.
I do not have a dog of my own or children at home. My house is small so, your baby is usually in eye site. It's quiet, clean and peaceful. My home has a lot of light with full pane security doors and rear sliders that provide your pet with a view to the outdoors. Experience has shown me most dogs enjoy being able to see who is passing by particularly, if their walking their dog(s).
I'm not a young, strong guy so, my preference is to watch small to medium size (under 25 lbs.), well-behaved dogs who are house broken. I do not watch bull breeds or aggressive dogs. While your dog is here it will get hugs and love and be treated special (TLC). There will be plenty of positive reinforcement, belly tickles, and attention.
You should go to my Profile page and schedule a Meet-n-Greet to get acquainted before hand so when you have a need for a sitter you have the confidence of knowing where your pet will be staying. Your dog will be in capable hands and helped with slowly socializing with any other guest that may come while your little one is here with me. In the event that I am hosting another guest, for safety when another dog arrives and while I'm sleeping at night I may put your dog in a large crate in my living room with a night light on.
In the event you would like an early drop off time and a late pick up time just let me knew and we can adjust your rate accordingly so you won't have to hurry home and pay for daycare ($20) in lieu of the standard overnight fee.
Just a reminder that dog shots are to be up to date. In particular, during the spring and summer months your dogs flea and tick collars or preventative treatments should be followed as recommended. If their cycle falls during their stay, you should leave it with me, I'd be glad to apply. Additionally, I prefer your dog have a harness in lieu of just a collar they could slip out of when outside. Of coarse, you dog should have an ID tag on also.
I have a love bird which many of the dogs enjoy watching and am available to care for your birds too.
