Dog owner and dog lover

Pet care experience

I have owned dogs for my entire life, and have worked as a dogsitter on several occasions, both short term and long term care! I have worked as a dogwalker here in NYC, and also in my hometown in New Jersey. In addition to practical experience, I know how to love and care for all types of dogs, no matter the temperament. I have worked with dogs with separation anxiety, dogs that are mildly aggressive, and dogs with leash anxiety. I am always willing to work with any type of dog and find the best care solution for them! I want to make sure that your dog gets the best care, so before any care, I’ll make sure to find out their allergies, any triggers they might have, places they like to go, and try to incorporate it into how I take care of them while we’re together. I took a break from dog walking for a few years to pursue a particular career field. However, I am pursuing other things, and am returning to dog walking. Dogs are your family, and I’ll treat them just like that: a family member!

I am Natalie's mother, and introduced her & her brother to our 2 dogs the day we brought them home from the hospital. She inherited my immense love and compassion for animals - I really think this is why she wants to be a caregiver for dogs. Being at college in Boston she doesn't see her dogs & cat - however she does face time with them - She always wants to bring stray animals who need love home and our dogs still sleep in her bed while she is at school. This will allow her to give the love she has for her own animals to others. She will be a positive, loving and caring asset for any dog loving family.

I am Natalie's mother, so you would think I am biased, however Natalie inherited her love and compassion for animals from me. I am so very proud of this fact, and love watching her with animals. From the day we brought Natalie and her twin brother home from the hospital they always had two dogs. We lost the first dog they ever knew when they were in 2nd grade, we had a full fledged funeral for him in our yard and Natalie wrote him a letter & put a favorite stuffed animal in the cedar chest with him. Natalie also got a cat when she was in tenth grade, and took care of her until she went to college.....this was a very traumatic time for Natalie, as she wanted to bring both our dogs and her cat with her. She face times with our animals from college so they can hear her voice. She dog sat for a patient of mine for sox days when she graduated high school, and this is what gave her the idea to be a dog sitter. While she is at college it allows her to give and get love from animals, which she actually needs. So this job is a win/win for everyone.

We will go on LOTS of walks and even to the dog park if you’re comfortable with that! If your pup loves play time, I will be sure to give some extra play time. I love to walk through Fort Greene or along the water - but of course, this all depends on where you are :)
