Hi there, My name is Nancy and I have been a dog mom to a tea cup maltese (Pebbles) for 14 years and a border collie (Panda) for 4 years (she was a rescue). Pebbles passed in 2013 and Panda passed in 2015.... I miss having a dog in our home, but we have 2 young kids now, so we have decided to wait until our kids are older to get a dog of our own. We have watched other dogs for friends (husky/german Shepherd, maltese, cocker spaniel) and I enjoyed it so much! Having a dog in our home - even temporarily - will help fill the dog-shaped hole in my heart! We have a split level home with mostly carpeting. We also have a fairly large backyard that is completely fenced in. We keep our dogs in the house mostly, but I'm ok with leaving the doggies in the backyard for a while to enjoy watching the neighborhood. When we've watched other dogs, when we leaved the house, different methods were used. Some were gated off, some were sent with a crate. I am open to whatever option you are comfortable with. I stay home right now and my husband works from home. Just needing a little bit extra income to help pay for kids’ expenses! My husband also loves dogs so, between us, your doggy will get at least 2 walks/day and can be let out to our backyard for a little sniff and sightsee multiple times/day when they’re bored! And depending on your dog's breed and how well they are leash trained, he can take doggy for a run as well. Lastly, if your dog is well-trained and comes when we call for them, we can take doggy to the big field behind our house to play fetch! We would love to give your doggy a safe, happy place to stay until return from your trip!
