Hello! and welcome to My Heart Belongs To Fido Animal Care. I grew up with an array of animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs and fish. I believe all animals should be treated with kindness and respect and I will care for you animal as if it was my own. I currently live in Beacon, NY and I am available for overnights, boarding in my home, walking and check ins, doctors appointments and fun days filled of activities and happiness! I am very responsible, caring and gentle with animals. I can take your dog for a walk, or to the Beacon or Fishkill dog run if they are a member, around the neighborhood or wherever their heart desires. I have a car and can pick them up and take them to the vet or groomer. You see many pictures of an Old English Sheep Dog on my profile. Oliver was my mother’s dog until she became ill and my husband and I became his new parents. We gave him a wonderful life in Brooklyn till he passed at the age of 11.5. He was a big dog, approx 100-120 pounds and had many health issues, included arthritis in his back legs and Addison’s disease, which required a monthly injection of medication and daily pill intake. I am adept in taking care of large dogs, elderly dogs and all other sizes and ages. Oliver was out daily in the park, in dog runs, and on walks all over the city and he had a few favorite stores and cafes he frequented as well! My husband and I currently have a 6 year old dog named Olivia, who is a rescue from Thailand. She gets along with some dogs but can be kept separate if she doesn’t get along with your dog. I live in a 3 bedroom home so there is space for a few dogs and plenty of couches, pillows and places to sleep. I am a freelance costume designer and stylist who works in television, film and commercials. In between jobs and even while working-depending on a dog/cats needs, I have hosted dogs.
