About Jacqueline

2 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I have a lifetime of experience with animals, I am dedicated to providing excellent care and love to your extended furry family member. I have volunteered for a number of years with animal shelters, worked for animal protection organizations, fostered cats, and assisted at a farmed animal sanctuary.

I live adjacent to Rock Creek Park which provides ample walking trails, and I love getting the additional exercise! My schedule varies and is pretty flexible if you have last minute requests, however I do require a meet-and-greet in person prior to booking.

*PLEASE* message me with your location/metro stop/neighborhood and specific petcare needs- number and species of animal(s), number of walks needed per day, special feeding requirements, if medications need administering, behavioral issues to address, overnight care vs. visits, etc. All these factor into your quote.

If you require a host for your dog(s), my residence is currently home to one cat who cannot be around aggressive/excitable dogs, so hosting other animals will require further screening. Additionally we have a staircase, so elder dogs may have some mobility trouble. Most clients actually prefer dogsitting/housesitting to keep with routine and I am accustomed to staying overnight with animal clients in their homes.

I have been trained in animal (and human!) CPR. I'm comfortable with multiple pets, special needs animals, administering medication, and exotic animal species who do not require live animal feed. I am available most holidays (additional holiday fees may apply) but please check my calendar for an updated schedule. References available upon request.

Feel free to be in touch if you have questions or would like to book me as your companion animal's new best friend! Thank you!

This was my first time using Dog Vacay and overall I was very pleased. I have one "easy" dog and one high maintenance dog, and Jackie was very good with both of them. I will definitely try to book Jackie again for future sitting needs. She is very thorough and interested in maintaining the dogs' usual schedule. She is also very familiar with positive reinforcement and clicker training techniques. I was pleasantly surprised at how calm my dogs were upon my return. With previous sitters, they were often a bit frantic upon our return which made me wonder what type of care they had really been receiving.
