We watch small and medium dogs of all ages and keep them busy playing and having so much fun that they will not miss their parents! If they have separation anxiety or are timid about staying away from their parents, we will be sensitive to that and make sure they feel safe by letting them stay by our side as we move about doing things. I have experience training several puppies so I also take those that aren't trained completely. Although, we watch plenty of doggies without health issues or special needs, we also specialize in care for doggies with special needs and/or seniors with aging issues such as sight, hearing, daily medication or incontinence.
I don't charge extra to administer meds unless it's an injection.
Daycare is $25 for already trained or without special needs and $45 for those that need training or have special needs.
Overnight is $35 for doggies without special needs and $65 for those that need training, have incontinence or other special needs.
For puppies, I will work with them to help potty train them and I will also work with them on not chewing things by removing them from the no-no item they are trying to chew on and replacing it with a toy they are allowed to chew on. They will have lots of play time with our 2 doggies and other guest dogs and stay active while they are here. All dogs will be kept inside except for play times outside. They will NOT be kept outside for their visits. Dogs are allowed on our furniture to sit with us or just laze around, unless you specify otherwise. They all sleep in our room with us at night so they aren't lonely or nervous. It is not uncommon for guest dogs to be nervous the first night and if they get up, I will get up with them, or talk to them and love on them and put them back to bed. Whatever it takes to make them feel safe and secure! Dogs are not generally crated during their stay with us but, if they are super active then we will crate them for a short nap after they eat. This prevents bloat and other digestive issues. You can read about bloat at the ASPCA website.
They usually just fall right to sleep and are glad for the time alone since it's very active at our house. Some dogs will never be crated because they have a fear of a crate or a special need. If you prefer your dog not be crated please don't hestitate to discuss any crating issues your pet may have so we can try to accommodate your specific needs and desires.
We try to have a good balance of play time outside followed by some resting inside on the couch or floor and then we repeat! (If weather permits of course, if its real hot or rainy then we all play inside unless they have to potty). We generally keep a maximum of 3 guests so we can give quality care to each one. I hope we have well described a stay at our house and this gives you an idea of what your doggie will be doing while you're away.
We look forward to watching your babies!
