About Andie

Your pooch will love farm life along the Middle Saluda River at the mouth of Greenville County's Jones Gap State Park. Nestled against the Mountain Bridge Wilderness, Mother Lovin' Farm is a paradise for all animals. Other creatures that are happily enjoying the mountain farm life include two heritage breed Black American Guinea Hogs, and a small herd of Dwarf Nigerian does, chickens, and soon turkeys and meat chickens. Mother Lovin' Farm is on 25 acres surrounded by conservation land, pristine waterfalls, mountain lakes and numerous swimming holes just steps from our front door. The house paddock is fully fenced in along the river and livestock are in designated mobile paddocks. Shade trees and bubbling creek sounds abound, and in every direction you look there is a view of the mountains. Opportunities to hike, swim and play are everywhere. Most of the time my canine guest are there to hang out with me while I farm, build things, manage my greenhouse and gardens and trout pond. Maybe you need somewhere perfect for your dog to stay while you are away. Please come to Mother Lovin' Farm and see what we are so happy about. The only permanent canine resident is a 12 year old rescue named Porter, he is a livestock guardian and is a great trainer that helps other dogs learn the ropes around the farm. Also, my father owns a 24hr Veterinary Emergency hospital only 15 minutes away in Flat Rock, NC. So matter your dogs needs, we have you covered. We would love to hear from you.

When my mom and dad go on awesome hiking trips they leave me behind because I have a gimpy leg. They have fun and I am stuck in a kennel or someone's apartment. My old sitter moved so this time I got to go to Andy's house. There were baby pigs, big pigs, goats, birds and butterflies to chase around the yard…it was amazing! Obviously Andy needed a lot of help on her farm and I was happy to help out. I got to meet some other dog buddies and go swimming. At the end of the day Andy was really tired, so I snuggled with her on the couch and protected her at night. My mom and dad said it was the best doggy summer camp…whatever, I was an awesome working farm dog. I can't wait to go back, but now I need to take a nap. Hope I see you at Andy's!
-Cedar (aka Squirrel Dog)
P.S…our dog never takes naps…this is awesome!

Andie was incredible! From the moment our German Shorthaired Pointer arrived, he was in wonderland. A beautiful farm with direct access to a rushing stream and water hole Andie played fetch with Blue as he got used to his surroundings. Having never retrieved anything but his favorite orange chuck-it ball, Andie had Blue jumping and swimming in the stream retrieving a stuffed fish within a half hour! In the 5 years our family has had Blue, we've never seen him happier to stay anywhere than we did with Andie. Although his stay was brief, Andie sent photos of Blue enjoying his time on her farm.
Also, from a logistical perspective we had a difficult travel schedule and Andie was more than glad to accommodate. With a late evening drop off and a very early morning pick-up, Andie had Blue tuckered out, walked and ready for our 15 hour drive.
With limited kenneling in the area that would have been willing to consider our a-typical travel schedule we were so happy and grateful to have found Andie. She looked after Blue as if he were her own and we won't hesitate to bring him to her farm every time we are in the area.
Thank you Andie for all of your kindness and accommodations!
