Pet care experience
I have worked in the Veterinary Field on and off for nearly 9 years now. I have always had animals growing up, and knew from a young age I would be working in the Animal/Veterinary field in some way. Currently I have 5 cats (certified Crazy Cat Lady!) and one dog, a Frenchie! My fiance and I work hard so our fur babies have a good life and our home is proof of our love and dedication to them...cat walks, play rooms, hidden passages..you name it! I love to help care for any and all animals while their parents get their much needed "me" time or are needed on business. I live in the center of Lafayette near Johnston/Doucet, so travel most anywhere in the Greater Lafayette Area is quick and easy for me. I have references upon request. I ask that you provide a collar/harness/leash, food and any medication, toys, bedding/crates that your pet enjoys. I also ask that your pet be up to date on vaccinations and flea/heartworm medication. Thank you!
A typical day
I have a huge enclosed backyard and a Frenchie who loves to make her guests feel welcome by playing and sharing her toys and beds. She also likes to show off her favorite "dragon" (lizards) hunting grounds! I live in the middle of Lafayette near The Horse Farm and the Dog Park on St.Julien street. If I take them for walks I ask that a harness is provided and I will also use a gentle, fabric slip leash as back up with their regular leash. I always get a permission slip for any visits to the dog park before taking the fur babies on any adventures!
