*MY LOVE OF SERVICE*:
My love for animals was sparked by my family, but mostly from my great-Aunt. She cared for a lot of animals, mostly strays that she would find homeless or abandoned near her building. She also rescued many dogs from the shelters that were destined to be destroyed. They lived happily in her large enclosed back porch. She owned a two flat building on the south side of Chicago. Visiting my Aunt was fun because I knew there would be a new cat or dog living there. A typical day at her house when we would stay over: 4 a.m. wake up would consist of lots of mopping, scooping up poop from the cats section, sweeping, laying down fresh newspapers and we would receive some cat licks, cats rubbing up against us, occasional nip (love) and lots of purring. The dogs the same cleaning applied to them. I was young and energetic so daily exercise with the dogs was my responsibility. If I wasn't taking care of animals at my great aunt's house, I was at my grandmother house with her dog. I would even play with strays in my neighborhood and even bring some of the strays home. People called me the "Animal Whisperer" -a title some of my clients call me still today.
I took in stray cats, cleaned them up, I even picked off my fair share of ticks and fleas, took care of sick cats, and nursed them back to health. I also found them safe loving homes with my friends and neighbors. Of course I kept a few for myself.
I started this business to be an extra hand with the over load of day to day living for pet parents, and for daily cuddles with my animal friends. Thank you for allowing me into your pet(s) life.
I have a BIG heart and would love to take in every dog i meet but my heart grows BIGGER about safety.
Thank you Enjoy the service. Love Desla
