I have been a foster mom for the over 20 years from goldens to labs to mix breeds and to spoiled dogs including my own. I have a smoke free, and child free home that some dogs prefer and enjoy. Dogs understand me and know that I love them all big or small. Walking is not exercise to me, its getting together with my animals. I have a bike trail directly behind my home that I walk with all my dogs (if able to). I also have the greatest neighbors in the world that have installed a pet door for there dog to visit all my previous fosters and any dog/s that I would be boarding. Currently working only Tuesday-Thursday semi retired. The next door neighbor has a shih Tzu (poo) who is at my home sometimes more than her own. Peggy is my next door neighbor that comes over daily and lets out the dogs at noon so even if I am at work they are taken care of and not left alone for extended hours.
I adopted my yellow lab from what was once a puppy mill. She sat in a crate for 8 years and never had puppies!! She is now 14 so she is a little slow on are daily walks but I am in no hurry because her time is coming for the rainbow bridge. I have also inherited 2 alley cats that followed me home from the bike trail and have chosen not to leave. They have been thru 7-8 foster dogs and at least 15-20 dog sitting jobs that I have received through this website. Sometimes they are a little leary of the new dogs in the home but I have a pet door from my home to the garage for them to escape through if they get uncomfortable with the new dogs.
I may not have a large home but my yard makes up for it as you can see from the pictures. If your dog (male/female) is not nutered or spayed I will refuse them upon arrival, it is very hard for me to control those type of dogs. I hope this gives you a little information about me and my animal family and if you chose to board your dog/s with me I hope and expect them to enjoy themselves. Hope to hear from you soon.
