About Miranda

5 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hi there! I'm Miranda, and I've lived in Newtown, CT for almost as long as I've been alive. I am a college student studying theater. I've been around dogs my whole life. In the house, I had a chocolate lab named Haley who passed when she was 14 in 2009. In 2011 we adopted a rescue mix we named Leyla, who's still a big ball of energy! I've done pet sitting for neighbors and family has kept their pets here for a day every once in a while. I live with my parents (who also have extensive experience with dogs) and my 14 year old sister. Our house has a big, grassy backyard and we have tons of balls and extremely indestructable toys (Leyla likes to chew) that we throw around. There is a big deck that pets like to lounge on in the sun. I can pet animals for hours if I could, and I'm known for my doggy neck massages and special head scratches that have put dogs to sleep. Some restrictions beginning the end of June will be that I would only be available for morning-early afternoon and late at night appointments.

The first time leaving our 13 year old dog with anyone so naturally I was a little nervous. But as soon as I met Miranda I was confident that our Jenny was going to be in the perfect home away from home. Miranda is a kind and conscientious dog lover. I have no doubts that Jenny was happy and well cared for the nine days we were away. So happy in fact, that she didn’t even seem excited to see me when I came to pick her up! I will definitely leave her with Miranda again and strongly recommend her to anyone who wants an exceptional and worry free vacation for their dog.
