Pet care experience
Our passion for animals first stated with our service dog, Sadie, 18 years ago. Sadie showed our family the incredible gift dogs have to comfort and enhance the lives of all individuals. My mom (Janeice) and I would love to help you out with your furry family members! We have 2 dogs named Tanner and Apple and they are always looking for new friends! We have been dog sitting for about 8 years and we love it! We have a lot of time to spend with your loved ones since my mom is a school teacher and I am in medical school. We are very familiar with all breeds of dogs, however, our house cannot accommodate for dogs larger than 75lbs. We like to keep our drop off and pick up times between 8am-8pm.

This was my first time using Rover.com. for my 4 year old Flatcoat. I went for a meet and greet and only had contact with an older woman named Janeice. I’m not sure Tessa actually lives at this residence. There is a big back yard and two other dogs. That was the only redeeming part of my dog’s 10 day stay. I think Janice is not a dog lover and poses as Tessa. I had to beg to get any feedback about my dog! And I received ten word phrases at best. My dog came home safe and sound but it was apparent that she was not loved up by a true dog lover!! Janeice also suggested that I not use the Rover app and pay her directly. Unethical!! I’d strongly recommend NOT using Tessa B for dogcare of any kind! They are imposters at best!

We have a fenced yard so we enjoy spending time outside when the weather permits. If your dog is able, we do go for walks and play ball. Dogs always sleep inside and we do have an air conditioned home!

Although we have a large yard, if your dog is a jumper our yard may not be the best fit (check out my photos). My few questions for you would be: 1.) Is you're dog potty trained? 2.) Does your dog have a dominate personality? 3.) Does your dog like to eat shoes and pillows? 4.) Does your dog use a crate? 5.) Is your dog vaccinated and up to date on flea and tick?
A typical day
Exercise: We go on walks around the neighborhood if the weather permits! Typical Day: A normal day starts at 6am when Tanner and Apple like to eat breakfast. Typically, my mom or I are home all day (both weekdays and weekends) and the dogs get let outside whenever they ask. If we do leave the house it is for no more than 3-4 hours at a time. At 4pm, Tanner and Apple enjoy dinner and then we like to go a walk around the neighborhood. After a bit of exercise, Tanner and Apple settle in for the night and watch a movie in bed or on the couch. Slumber: Your dog is welcome to sleep with me in my bed unless you prefer your dog in a crate or on the floor.

Availability
Someone tends to almost always be home when we are dog sitting. At most, your dog would be left alone for 4 hours. We spend time in the back yard and also inside snuggling on the couch!
