Pet care experience
I have grown up with dogs (cockers, shih tzu, basset, Maltese, poodle, and labradooodle). Dog sitting suits me perfectly as it scratches that itch of loving and caring for a dogs of all types. My yard is fenced in so they'll be able to have some outside time off of a leash in addition to the walks. I live near dog parks and if yours is spry enough I would take them on runs. I also have 4 roommates (3 humans and 1 dog) that are very open to having another dog around. Especially Copper, he loves making new friends. I would be happy to speak further about my living conditions to accommodate your canine friend. Most importantly - your dog is a living and breathing being. My goal is to treat it like a living and breathing being with the best care and attention I can.
Reviews
PJ was very easy to get a hold of and volunteered a "meet and greet" with myself, my partner, and Tiberius (our dog) prior to confirming our booking. He has a sizeable yard for the city which Tiberius (and his hound dog Copper) ran around in all weekend. PJ also worked with Tiberius' daily medication needs (pills 2x day) and food schedule. Absolutely will book with PJ again!
PJ was great with our dog, Grizzy. Grizzy was pretty nervous the first few days and PJ did a great job accommodating him and Grizzy had an excellent stay. PJ's dog, Copper, was also great with Grizzy who is often scared of larger dogs, and the two became best buddies. We will definitely be rebooking with PJ.
We were visiting DC and that’s why we could not have a meet up and greet up and I think that was definitely our mistake. I will not blame PJ for that. Copper, PJ’s dog makes very loud noises, PJ told us it is because he needed attention, i got it but it was not very pleasant for our pup to become comfortable. That was his first time when he came behind us when we were leaving because that noise was very scary to him. When we went to pick up Alex, PJ’s roommate let us in without PJ knowing, and we found PJ was in the basement with copper and Alex and another dog was entering from backyard. It was very hot and I am not sure for how long they were outside without PJ looking at them. PJ is good but I felt like he should be more pro active if he is taking care of three dogs including his. I don’t think it was right to leave alex and the other dog alone in the backyard while he was with his dog in the basement. I am feeling very impatient and helpless, I didn’t want to leave this review but I think Copper should be trained if you want to host other dogs. Also, i would be happy if I get an answer from PJ about Alex and the other dog being outside in the backyard during that time of the day.
PJ was great with my dog, Nola. Nola can be pretty anxious and excitable but I felt at ease leaving her with PJ. I loved that Nola had another pup (his dog Copper) to play with during her time there. I had a mix up with the pick up date and PJ was incredibly flexible and allowed me to extend Nola's stay for an extra day. He sent pictures, videos, and regular updates. We would definitely recommend PJ to others looking for reliable care for their furry friend. Thanks again PJ!

Currently copper and i go for walks at least twice a day that usually end up at a dog park at least once, which gives him plenty of social and physical activity. We also have three furnished floors to wander around or lie about. Plus, dogs love sniffing around the backyard and sometimes the neighbors dog says hi through the fence too. If i leave copper alone he would go into his crate but if another person or dog is here then pups are free to roam, but i would listen to whatever care needs you have for your furry friend. Ps- i am very vigil with dogs picking up chicken bones on the street. I will not let them swallow one.

Information PJ G. would like to know about your pet
Are they house trained? Are they crate trained? How do they eat? Can they interact in a dog park setting without chronic issue? Do they require medication? How long could they be left alone with another dog to accompany them?
A typical day
We go to dog parks at Langdon, Bryant st, or eckington. We like to play tug and wrestle in the house or out in the yard.
