About Tara

28 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am a retired Police Sergeant from MA. I grew up in a large Irish Catholic Family. Our family always had a dog and a cat growing up. As an adult I have had at least one dog at all times since I got out of the military in my early 20's. My love for animals almost surpasses my love for people:) I treat the dogs in my care like my kids. At the present time I watch my neighbors 3 dogs and their house when they go away (Yellow Lab, Yorkie and Yorkiepoo). I also watch another neighbor's pot belly pig and her house when she goes away.

I do allow animals on my furniture and as long as they get along well with my dog they are welcome to sleep with me if that is what they are used to. I am an early riser and the dog will be walked for the first time at approximately 5:00am. The dogs can run around in my back yard, which is fenced in and rather large. I do also take them for walks on a leash as long as they are trained on leash. I will not limit their roaming of the entire house unless the particular dog has an issue with freedom. I do play ball with any dogs that want to:)

I am fostering a cat for a neighbor. This cat thinks he is a dog and loves dogs. My dog grew up with cats and has no issue with them at all. Your dog or cat will get excited when they know they are coming to "Aunt Tara's" for camp:)

Tucker enjoyed his day visit so much he had no real interest in coming home. ;-) He had a large fenced in yard, a great play space and plenty of attention. Clearly, he was well taken care of.
Tara has an amazing spirit that I felt right away. More importantly my dog felt welcomed in her home and with her dog, Nikki.

Tara was great with the meds that my dog needed as well as her personality--one who loves treats.

Tara sent me daily pictures and texts to update me about Chloe's status. This lessened my anxiety about leaving my dog for the first time.

Tara is a blessing in my and my dog's life.
Tara is amazing my dog feel at home. Finally i found someone to take care of my dog and i feel good. Highly recommended.
Tara was Great! Buddha had a wonderful time and was well cared for.
Tara was a great guest in our home to sit and our dogs just loved her. Our Vizsla, Teddy, is active, (to say the least), and she met his needs for outdoor activity, (mostly squirrel chasing). Our Chessie mix is the opposite in behavior, seemingly standoffish at first, but Tara and she bonded very well together. WE ARE VERY PLEASED with Tara's service and shall have her sit as needed and when she is available in the future.
It was our first time leaving the dogs for the weekend and we couldn't have had a better experience.
Frequent foto updates and the dogs had a great time!
Tara was flexible with the date when out flight got delayed for a day later, thanks to her it all worked out and we didn't have to worry about a thing.
Tara took excellent care of our fur baby while we were in town for a wedding. She took him swimming and he had the best time and was so happy when we picked him up. We recently moved to Florida and he was very sad and stressed with all of the changes. Spending time with Tara totally uplifted his mood. She was also very responsive and helpful with information. We wished that we lived closer so that we could arrange more play dates.
Tara gave extra special attention Bailey our puppy Viszla. She is attentive and adapted very well to Bailey's spunky energy as a pup. Well fed and rested. Even found her a friend to run with behind her house. Thank you Tara
