We are an active senior-age couple with no 2 legged children. In 2016 we lost our 2 boys, Walter (13) & Victor (11), brothers and Portuguese Water Dogs. They were our constant companions and we, theirs. We're not ready to get 2 more, but probably will. We are on a list from our breeder, and other breeders who know us, how we loved and cared for our boys, should we decide to get 2 more. We have a single story home with a fenced in yard, and a screened porch. Maureen is a pianist and Walter would lay under her grand piano as soon as she started to play (which is daily.) He would sing along with her. We have a dog park nearby, although we are hesitant to go when there are a lot of dogs there, and owners who don't attend to their dogs as they should. I would regularly take my boys to my tennis club or the beach, and depending on the dog's personality and temperament, would be happy to consider doing that, on an individual basis. We typically are stay at home in the evening and TV watchers, with our boys on the couches with us, if not playing together or enjoying (or fighting over) a treat or toy.
