About Marsha

50 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am so EXCITED! Joined DogVacay just a few months ago and have already had multiple guests, all of whom were just joyous! Really looking forward to more guests this summer. I love nearly all animals but can't sit for cats right now because my dog might chase them. I've owned dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, gerbils, monkeys, goats, etc., all my life and bred and raised Weimaraners. Worked in vet clinic for about 1-2 yrs as an assistant. Have been through obedience school twice. Certified in pet CPR/First Aid. I'm not a professional groomer but will gladly brush your dog. I have 1 1/2 acres, large securely fenced back yard, so plenty of room to run. My dog and I go for walks every day (we live on a dead-end road, so little traffic); she loves everyone & sleeps in my bed. Your dog would be welcome, too. For now, cannot spend the night away from home. I'm not a professional trainer,, but friends I have helped say I'm pretty good (watch the Dog Whisperer all the time and worked as a horse trainer years ago). Since I'm retired, I'm home all day (unless I have to run to the grocery). Though I don't want dogs who are not house-trained, I'm not persnickety about the house. Please bring a copy of latest Vet report showing all vaccinations, heartworm treatment, etc. Would like to meet you and your pet and see if we are a fit. Please contact me by phone (home - preferable) 662-895-1745, (cell) 901-326-9483, or by email (marshah728@centurylink.net) . Can't wait to meet my next guest!

I had to go out of Town suddenly, and Marsha accommodated my small American Eskimo. Which was depressed the whole time! Not because of Marsha's care, she tried to make Abbey comfortable and welcomed! And worried about her the whole time. So as a whole I was lucky to find such a caring pet giver!! Thank you Marsha!

Marsha was awesome with our little one, Piper. Piper has never been comfortable around other Dogs & Marsha really worked with her during her stay & When we picked her up she was a happy little puppy! Really pleased!
Marsha was the best! My doberman, Maeby, had never been away from home for any extended period of time so I was worried about placing her with someone for 10 days. She took to Marsha right away and I felt secure know that she was being taken of so well. Marsha sent regular pics and gave us updates which I really appreciated. Maeby loved the large yard and having other dogs to play with. She will definitely be staying with Marsha again.

Had a great experience with Marsha. It was last minute because of a family emergency but Marsha went out of her way to make the meet and greet happen. Darcy had a great stay and I'd send her back to stay with Marsha without hesitation.
My first time using Marsha and she was excellent! Tiger stayed with her for 2 weeks and I knew by the pics she sent that he was having a great time! Her huge, fully fenced back yard was a bonus...my boy needs his running space. Her compassion for dogs was obvious from our meet-and-greet...and I was never concerned during my time away that Tiger was being very well looked after.

Marsha is super. This last stay was an emergency due to my hospital stay, but Marsha said yes to Tyler even though it put her over her two dog limit for a few days. While I was in the rehab hospital she brought Tyler over to see me. Tyler loves Marsha and I couldn't be happier that I have found such a loving and kind sitter.

Our first time with DogVacay and Marsha was absolutely great! A true professional that loves dogs!
Fantastic! Tyler was right at home. He will definitely visit again.
Fantastic! Marsha does a great job and is very good for Tyler. Thanks again Marsha.
Marsha was wonderful with Harlee!!!! We recommend her extremely highly. Harlee is a 9 year old Mini Schnauzer, and she felt comfortable as soon as we arrived at Marsha's home. Marsha loved on her and petted her and made her feel at home. She has a very large fenced back yard, and Harlee loves to be outside. When we arrived to pick Harlee up after our week out of town, she loved on us but didn't yell and yelp as she usually does. She was at peace, and when we went back inside to get her toys, food and luggage, she went back in on her own without being coaxed, so that assured us that she was comfortable. Thank you, Marsha, for loving our little girl for a week. She loved being with you, and we look forward to see you again in the future!!! Rick and Brenda Hensley

Marsha helped us out in an emergency situation! Thanks from my brother Aaron and I.
Great experience with Marsha!
Lolli loves her time at Marsha's. I feel comfortable knowing that my fur-baby is being very well cared for when I am away.
Highly recommend Marsha! She is so caring and took great care of Izzie. Will definitely be going back!!
Marsha was very caring and tentative with Toby and my requirements for his stay. She was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns, and made an effort to update me on his daily stay while I was away to help ease any stress. I will definitely be bringing my pup to stay with her again! He came home exhausted and happy!

Marsha took care of my boxer mixed breed over a long holiday weekend and I was very pleased with her. Although Tyler is a strong dog, she handled him with ease. I will be using Marsha again in the future and would recommend her to anyone.
Ms. Hunter is a wonderful find; she knows and understands dogs and has a great rapport with them. She communicates with the owner, and I had no reservations about leaving my fur baby with her. She has a safe, dog friendly home with a fenced yard and plenty of room to play.

Marsha did such a fantastic job. My dog loved her and her puppy, Jasmine. I had no concerns and felt 100% comfortable leaving my baby with her!!!!!
My (big) puppy Jax loved his stay with Marsha! Marsha has a huge yard that is completely fenced in, and Jax loved being able to run around to his heart's content. I scheduled his stay a bit last minute, with only a few days to spare. Marsha was very quick to reply and flexible on the meet-and-greet time. Jax enjoyed spending the long 3-day weekend with Marsha and her dog, Jasmine. He even got to sleep on the bed, which is where he is comfortable. I would definitely recommend Marsha as a sitter, she was very thorough in her questions to make sure that Jax (and his parents) would be at ease. We will stay with her again!

We were more than pleased with Ms. Marsha. She took care of our two dogs and sugarbears while we were gone. She came out and met them and me before hand. She took notes and wanted to make sure she did what we wanted and needed. You can tell she cares about animals. She brought her little dog and my dogs loved to play and interact with her. She gave my dogs their treats and sat down with them and spent time with them. Marsha was very dependable and did an excellent job. I highly recommend her. We will be using her again. Thanks Marsha!
