Hi there! My name is Mariya, I'm a 20 y.o female born and raised in Siberia, Russia and currently living in SF. I'm a student at Hult International Business School (Junior year starting from January) and have been living in SF for 2 years and in New York for 1 year before that. I've had 2 dogs in my life - a miniature Toy Terrier for 2 years and a Pekingese for 8 years. Both of them were given to me as New Year gifts, so I was the one responsible for taking care of them including walking, feeding, training and bathing. Also, both of them had some serious surgeries done, so I have experience of taking care of pre/post surgeries as well. Many relatives and friends of mine are dog owners too, so basically I've been surrounded by pups my whole life.
I share a one-bedroom apartment with a pet-friendly roommate who's also a dog lover on the 16th floor in a very new building in the middle of the city. There is some space to play with the dog in the living room/outside in the park or to chill with me on my bed in the bedroom. There is also a special ground to walk dogs 2 min away from the building, so potty breaks are not a problem.
I can play with a dog using pet toys if it's provided by the owner or fool around having fun with a pet. If a dog is not very active, I can pet it while I'm reading, watching a movie or doing homework so we can cuddle and lay down in bed. I don't really have any restrictions, but the dog shouldn't be aggressive and all the necessary vaccines should be done.
I have always been a dog lover and I am looking forward to meet new pups! Dogs help me to relax and spending time with them makes me feel better. Since I'm a student, it is very stressful sometimes with homework and a job (I work occasionally entertaining children on their birthday parties, so it can be pretty tiring). But what can be better than to come home after where is a pup waiting for you? Can't think of anything!
