Hi, I am Maria and I am a student studying Applied Animal Biology at UBC. My career goal is to go into the field of Animal Welfare, to improve the quality of life for animals.
My experience working with dogs include owning 1 Pekingese and 4 German Shepherds. I have also taken care of 1 stray dog who lived near my home in China. I have more than three years of experience working and volunteering at various veterinary clinics in Shanghai, China and Vancouver, Canada. My duties in the clinic involve handling dogs, walking them, providing food, water, and medication for them, as well as helping out during procedures such as vaccinations, surgery preparation, dental, routine checkups, and nail trims. I am experienced with handling dogs small and large, and I can work with dogs with separation anxiety too. I am able to provide oral medications and care for your dog after surgical procedures.
I currently live in a building which is not dog-friendly, so I would love to have the chance to play with and walk your dog. I am able to go on walks, come check in on your dog or stay the night with your dog. There will be lots of fun games and I will make sure your dog gets enough exercise. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend.
