Im Maria, my roommate is a teacher and I'm a case work supervisor. I have had dogs for most of my life and I was usually the person who bathed them, dried their hair, trimmed their hair, walked them, cleaned up after them, played with them and slept with them near by. I am a huge dog lover, so is my roommate, unfortunately due to limited funds, pets are difficult for us to have permanently.
Our apartment is very cozy, and has a small yard in back for tenants to use, we are in a quiet neighborhood and a lot of dog owners are in the area. We live by Van Courtlandt park as well lots of play room and space. We get lots of sunlight in our home and we never have loud music or noises on. Most days I go to work late mornings and will walk dogs (when I sit for friends and family) before I leave and my roommate likes to walk them in the morning as well since she gets up much earlier than me, she also walks them when she arrives home and makes sure there's food and fresh water for them. I walk them in the evening when I am home and before bedtime, in between some play time with toys or running around and jumping if they are in the mood.
We are very laid back and have older, antique furniture so pets don't bother us at all. We have a Petco nearby if we ever need some supplies or assistance with the dogs and we have emergency contact information for vets in the community. I enjoy having dogs sleep in the room or living room on their doggy bed or on the couch, but not on the bed.
Unfortunately we cannot have dogs larger than 50 lbs in the building and we prefer dogs that are hypoallergenic of course. We are okay with dogs that bark a lot but prefer ones that also are okay with hearing people walk by in a hallway without going too hysterical. We look forward to meeting!
