Dan and Margot love dog-sitting over weekends, holidays and the summer! We live in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, one block from Fort Greene Park which has plenty of open space for dogs. We enjoy walking dogs at the park (and jogging with them if they're good joggers). We have a comfy 800sf one bedroom apartment with a large living room space and friendly neighbors. We have a baby, so dogs must be kid-friendly. Our apartment has a stoop out front, and is on the third floor, so dogs would need to climb about 4 levels (or can be carried if small, We have been living in our apartment for 5 years, and have been in the neighborhood for 11 years. We often spend weekends and holidays reading, cooking, watching movies and exercising. Our apartment has lots of good natural light, and our downstairs neighbor has a chicken coop in the backyard that dogs love to watch from our back windows. Dan is a philosophy professor in Manhattan, originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, and Margot is an architect in Manhattan, originally from the Chicago suburbs. We have cared for many of our friends' cats and dogs while they're out of town for weekends and longer vacations, and have fun getting to know animals and enjoying their company. We're open to dogs of all ages and breeds, but prefer medium or small dogs. We've cared for dogs with medications before, and are happy to accept dogs taking medication.
